While this quest focuses on taking pictures throughout Cosmo Canyon, players will want to heal up and make sure they have enough MP before beginning this quest. It’s also helpful to bring some Fire and Ice Materia and have them equipped for your party. When taking the pictures, any will do, but getting 80% or above on each will result in better rewards for this quest.

Celestial Phenomena I

The first Celestial Phenomena isfound at the airstrip of the region,and fast traveling there is the quickest path. From the airstrip,turn and look to the left side of the canyonto find a rock path leading along the mountain and up towards the back of the airstrip. After defeating the Reapertail, wait forAerithto stop moving and pray and gostand to the left next to her.Aim the camera more at the rock formation and zoom in just a bit to find the sweet spot.

Celestial Phenomena II

The second Celestial Phenomena is found in thesouthwestern area of the region.Follow the path to theleft along the side of the mountainto find and defeat the Reapertail at the top. When taking the photo,getting a picture of Aerith when the circle turns green will lead to an additional cutscene and key itemat the end of the quest. Stand to the left of Aerith again when she is praying andaim just a little up and to the right of the pointed rock formation.

Celestial Phenomena III

The final Celestial Phenomena is found in one of the more difficult to reach places in the region. To get there, players will need to jump along theGliding Ranges using the Chocobo in order, 6,7,11,12,13, 14, and 16.Run past 15 and up the mountain to find number 16, and the rest should be in mostly linear order. At the top of the mountain,ride your Chocobo along the right side of the peak to find a wind spotthat will boost your Chocobo to the top.

Upon defeating the Reapertail, the additional cutscene will play, and theCloud and Aerith selfie will be added to the key items.For the final photo, stand to Aerith’s left side and take the picture focusingjust up and to the right of the left mountain peak.After taking all three photos, return to The Skywatchers for your reward.

How To Defeat Repertails & Rewards

Despite their size, Repaertails are fairly easy to take down. They are weak to Ice, and following up with a powerful fire spell will just about fill their Pressure bar and Stagger them.Once Staggered, continue with Ice spells to further the damage and finish the creatures off.

Upon completing this side quest, players willget XP,Party XP,and Relationship Statis points with Aerith.Players will also get the accessory Tarot Cards, whichextend the duration of negative status effects on enemies.

Cloud Accessing A Reapertail

While Materia gives players a low-level spell right away, theycan be powered upmore to learn even stronger spells. Goingback to previous regionsis an easy way to power up Materia and get those stronger spells.
