Assassin’s Creed Shadowsis the upcoming title in the long-runningAssassin’s Creedseries. Set in feudal Japan during the Sengoku period, the game will focus on two playable characters: Naoe, a skilled shinobi assassin, and Yasuke, a legendary African samurai.

Recent gameplay footage has focused on Naoe’s abilities, generating a lot of fan excitement.

The footage put Naoe on full display, including her parkour skills and combat moves, which has fans thinking ofAssassin’s Creed Shadowsas the true next-gen game in the franchise. While we have witnessed some Yasuke moves, the sluggish combat wasn’t as smooth and quick as seen here.

Players are not happy with Yasuke as a protagonist in the game.

The leaked gameplay footage puts Naoe’s abilities center stage. These include parkour and combat. Fans areimpressed by how fluid her movements areand the sheer speed of her movements. This is a stark contrast to Yasuke’s combat, which makes her the true assassin inAssassin’s Creed Shadows.

The video starts with the ever-controversial front flip, and immediately jumps into the combat as Naoe jumps on the enemy and with a few around-the-belt stabs eliminates the foe.

Her next skill shown is throwing kunai from a distance at several enemies with ease, making it a one-hit-wonder.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows returns to its stealthy beginnings.

This is where things get interesting. Naoe demonstrates her Kusarigama skills, a traditional Japanese weapon resembling a ball and chain with a sickle for a handle. She obliterates the enemy in less than a second, spattering blood everywhere.

The footage left fans in awe at how quickly Naoe moves and how she eliminates enemies in the blink of an eye and have come together to realize that Naoe is the stronger character in the game.
