Conor McGregor is a popular name inside the ring as a former UFC champion. Everyone knows him. However, his popularity didn’t stay inside the ring as the mixed martial arts champion. His name started to surface all over the media because of the allegations and police investigations. Though he never admitted to those alleged crimes, his history of sexual assaults and violence has always scarred his career.
Recently, a woman has accused the Irish MMA champion of rping her back in 2018 in a Dublin hotel. Back in the day, she had filed a complaint against him but nothing happened, and he had denied those allegations. However, now the woman has claimed that on the night of the incident, McGregor tried to choke her and rped her. She was so scared that she started to think she might not be able to see her daughter again. Now, while the former UFC champion is on the news, let’s take a look at the series of his allegations over the years.
2017: Conor McGregor’s run-ins with police for driving violations
Conor McGregorhas often paid a visit to the police for one reason or another. Be it for robbery allegations, driving violations, sexual assaults, and the list can go on. Between 2017 and 2018, the MMA champion pleaded guilty to breaking speeding limits and even paid fine charges, on top of that, his driving license was also revoked for six months. In 2022, he was booked onsix traffic charges, including driving an uninsured car without a license. Even he drove around carelessly. However, these cases continued till December 2023.
2018: Violent attacks on a bus with a hand dolly
After a UFC media event, Conor McGregor was caught on camera destroying a bus with a hand dolly and guard rail. This happened at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York in April 2018. McGregor and a few others shattered the vehicle’s windows and windshield and left a lot of UFC fighters injured. It also had Michael Chiesa in it.Reportedly, this fight broke out because another fighter named Khabib Nurmagomedov had a showdown with McGregor and his teammates earlier in the hotel.
However, a lawsuit was filed but nothing happened. He reportedly neither got any prison sentence nor his travel visa was canceled. He paid for the damages, served five days of community service, and did a small anger management therapy. Thanking the judge and the D.A., the fighter said,“I just want to say I’m thankful to the D.A. and the judge for allowing me to move forward.”
Four years later to that incident, in 2022, the UFC fighters settled their lawsuit. Conor McGregor’s representative Karen Kessler released astatementon the Chiesa lawsuit which read that“the matter was resolved and is now closed.”
2018: McGregor gets accused of sexual assault
In 2018 December, McGregor allegedly forced himself on a woman in a hotel in Dublin, and in early 2019, there werereportsthat he was under investigation for that. In the latter half of 2019, the Irish police got another complaint from a different woman that she was also allegedly sexually assaulted by McGregor in a car outside a pub in Dublin. However, he denied both the allegations but was arrested for questioning before getting released.

The prosecutors didn’t charge the UFC fighter in regard to the alleged 2018 assault and 2019 filed complaint. However, the injured woman from the 2018 case sued McGregor for r*ping her at the Beacon Hotel in Dublin.
2019: McGregor booked for robbery charges in Florida
In March 2019, the UFC champ was found seizing and smashing a fan’s phone who wanted to take a picture with him in Miami Beach. He was then arrested for criminal offense and strong robbery and spent a few hours in jail before getting bailed on a $5000 bond. He had even agreed to cooperate with the investigations.
However, a month later, the charges were dropped against the mixed martial arts champion. The authorities didn’t want to pursue the lawsuit as the victim had anout-of-court settlementwith McGregor.
2019: Accusations of punching a customer in a Dublin bar at McGregor
McGregor often got caught on camera while lashing out at people or showing his anger. One such incident happened in August 2019 when he punched a pub customer who had repeatedly refused to get a shot of Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey. It is a liquor brand that the MMA star had launched earlier that year.

However, to get rid of the charges, he pleaded guilty, paid a fine, and even sent an undisclosed amount to the victim to settle the lawsuit as compensation. During the trial, it was found that McGregor had 18 prior convictions against his name in regard to his bad driving habits and more. McGregor pleaded in court saying,
Your honour, what I done was very wrong. I would like to apologize today, to the injured party again, and to apologize here before the court, and assure you nothing of this nature will happen again regarding me.
His lawyers argued that hiscareermight fall off because of the conviction.
2020: McGregor was charged with sexual assault in Corsica and detained
On the French island of Corsica, the fighter reportedly tried to attempt to sexually assault a woman in a bar. Based on the allegations, he was detained and questioned by the authorities and even spent two days in jail custody. However, he got bail because of a lack of sufficient evidence.
In an interview withTMZ, his representative said,“Conor McGregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct. He has been interviewed and released.”
2021: McGregor assaulted an Italian DJ
Popular Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti had accused McGregor of allegedly coming at him andpunching himon the nose outside a hotel. This happened in Rome in October 2021 when Facchinetti and his wife were partying with Conor McGregor and his fiancée Dee Devlin. Out of nowhere he violently assaulted the DJ leaving him injured. While pressing formal charges he had said,
He is dangerous, he needs to be stopped.
The incident is still under investigation but neither he has been charged nor has he accepted or denied the whole scenario in public.
2022: Assault allegations against Conor McGregor in Ibiza
In early 2022, reports started to surface that a woman in her 40s claimed that McGregor was a violent man and tried to assault her on his yacht in Ibiza, Spain. This happened during his birthday celebrations in the previous July. She stated that he had not only verballyabusedher but also kicked and punched her and even threatened her to drown her.
The woman had suffered from some injuries during the blow out and believing the fighter might as well do what he said, she had fled from the yacht. Later, she was picked up by a Red Cross boat.

The Spain authorities had also reopened the case but for some unknown reason, she had withdrawn it even after suing him.
2023: Conor McGregor accused of sexual assault during the NBA Finals in Miami
In 2023, Conor McGregor was accused of allegedly trying to r*pe a woman at the NBA Finals in Miami. As reported inTMZ, the demand letters authored by attorney Ariel Mitchell stated that this incident happened after the Nuggets won the game. The letters claimed that later that evening the woman was sexually assaulted inside of a men’s bathroom.
Mitchell further shared in the letters, “Security refused to let [the woman] exit or allow anyone else, including her friend, inside the bathroom.”Apparently, McGregor had appeared from one of the stalls“and shoved his tongue in the victim’s mouth and aggressively kissed her.”McGregor has been accused of pinning her to the wall and trying to have oral s*x with her. She somehow managed to flee from the situation but left her purse there which his security guards had kept as hostage and made her beg for it.
The victim sent these letters to Conor McGregor, the NBA, and the HEAT seeking a settlement. However, the UFC fighter’s rep stated that these allegations were not true. They even declared,“Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated.”The Heat released a statement and mentioned that they will conduct a full investigation. TheNBAshared,“We are aware of the allegations and are working with the team to gather more information.”UFC also added a statement in this matter which read,“UFC will allow the legal process to play out before making any additional statements.”

2024: The 2018 r*pe case resurfaces
Now in present times, the woman has come forward and explained what happened to her that night and even the court has accepted pictures where her injuries are visible.
Nikita Ni Laimhin, aka Nikita Hand, who filed the lawsuit shared with the court,“McGregor rped me. He put his pnis inside me.”When asked for further clarification she said,“In my v*gina.”Describing the horrific incident, she continued that they knew each other from before, and on the night in question, she had reached out to him and he had come to pick her and a friend in his car. However, things started to get messy when McGregor and Lawrence wanted to have ‘fun’ in the wrong way while she refused repeatedly because she didn’t want to indulge in it as she was on periods.
But soon after, McGregor forced himself on top of her. Nikita said,“The only thing I could move was my head and I bit him and tried my best to get away from him. I tried to shove him and wiggle and do whatever I could. I remember biting really hard and then his arms were around me and choking me.”She only thought about her daughter at that moment. Nikita further continued,
I promised I wouldn’t tell anybody anything. Then I just let him do whatever he needed to do so I could survive. My mind was completely gone and I wasn’t myself anymore. He was really aggressive and pulling at my clothes and shoving my head down to do things and I kept pulling my head back. He was trying to push my head down to his pnis but I pushed my head back. He was pulling my clothes down. He then rped me. I felt like it was going on for ages.
A 12-day trialconcluded with a jury finding McGregor liable for sexually assaulting Nikita Hand. The verdict included damages of approximately $250,000 awarded to Hand.
The former UFC champion has been engaged to Dee Devlin since 2020 after being together for 12 years. He even announced their engagement on Instagram with her to-be-wife flaunting her ring,“What a birthday, my future wife.”The couple has four children, a son Conor Jr. (2017), a daughter Croia (2019), and two more sons Rian (2021) and Mack (2023).
