The feature list ofEscape From Tarkovpatch 0.15.5.0 includes many major quality-of-life improvements that players have been requesting for years.
This update would not have been considered a success without theroadmap published in September. BSG hoped to upgrade to Unity 2022 in patch 0.15.4.0, but that did not materialize.

Tarkovupdate 0.15.5.0 is here now, but the new engine is nowhere to be seen.According to the developers, the engine swap has moved to 0.16.0.0.
The developers first hoped to switch in May 2023, butthe Unity runtime fee disasterput plans on hold.

The Halloween 0.15.5.0 Patch Notes Explained
Escape From Tarkovgot its traditional Halloween patch today. If you can look past the Unity 2022 absence, this patch will make life much easier for those with busy stashes.
Matching Inventory Management
Players will finally be able to use their stash, questing menu, and the Flea Market while loading into a raid. This will make clearing up space ahead of the next outing quicker.
The system is currently limited to the server search part of matchmaking, but the hope is it will be expanded to the full process.

Achievements Have Permanent Rewards
Starting from this patch, certain rewards will be tied to the profile achievements rather than quests completed during this wipe.
The Adik Tracksuit, aTarkovGopnik favorite, will now be available to anyone who earned the Master of ULTRA achievement in any previous wipe and no longer has trader requirements.

Popular Steam Wishlist Survival Shooter To Get A New Demo
Road to Vostok promises a challenging survival shooter with full transparency, and demo 2 v2 offering a glimpse into early access gameplay loops.
Stash Management Tools
Thanks to new Pin and Lock options, the automatic sorting tool will finally be useful. Both functions anchor items to a position in the stash, but Pin still lets you move them manually. This applies to both stash and secure container items.
Fall is Here
In keeping with the season system added late last year, the game’s maps and weather are now in fall. This means muddy ground and loud footsteps, so keep that in mind when sneaking around on the Woods map.
Map Travel Makes Sense
A relatively minor item, but huge for those who use the map travel feature often: now, when you move between areas, you will spawn close to the reciprocal transition pointon the following map.
New Shotgun and Attachments
Closed quarters are now a real horror show thanks to the addition of two variants of the MPS AA-12 shotgun. This 12 gauge monster has a fast rate of fire and the option for drum mags, making it the apex predator in its category.
Thanks to new rail mounts, the bipods introduced in the previous update will now be compatible with most rifles.

European gunsmiths will be happy to hear that the G36, SCAR, and AUG now have a ton of new special attachments to make them more customizable. The AUG A3 also now comes in black.
Gray Zone Warfare Goes Hardcore With Destructible NVGs and Gruesome Anatomic Damage
MADFINGER Games wants to fix the bungled release.
As with any early access game, even a perpetual one likeEscape From Tarkov, patches mean fixes.
0.15.5.0 takes care of the water artifacts in the upgraded Factory map cellar for DLSS users, the gargantuan weight of weapons in the flea market, some lingering geometry issues, and the dog tags not showing your name when the enemy died from a single shot.
A Tarkov Halloween Event
“Tell me,are you feeling healthy?” Forest sadist Jaeger says there is an infection going on turning people rabid. Naturally, your job is to dig into The Lab’s quarantine sectionto find out how all of this started.
Any quest that involves The Lab is as fun as watching paint dry due to the extremely high skill barrier. With the keycard access temporarily removed, it should attract more normal players to shake things up.
Today’s TarkovTV Previews
After the patch, the developers took to Twitch for their traditional periodic Twitch blog, Tarkov TV. The previews included new toys, a revamp of a classic map, and a controversial change to shooting mechanics.
Winter Camouflages
Since the introduction of seasons late last year, players have been begging for winter camouflage, as the game’s current set is only good for urban maps and dark foliage.
Some players found light desert gear to be workable, if not ideal, but all of that will be fixed with the eventual addition of real winter outfits and gear.
Customs Upgrade
After upgrades to Factory and Shoreline earlier this year, BSG has moved to improve the Customs map. The scope of changes is not as drastic as with Factory, but the improved lighting and textures bring it up to par again.
New Recoil Visuals
The only item in the showcase to get a negative response from viewers was the new recoil visual depiction.
This will make iron sights harder to use during automatic fire, as the sights come out of alignment due to horizontal recoil. This, in turn, makes you appreciate red dot and holo sights.
Recoil is a touchy topicfor theEscape From Tarkovplayer base, so anything threatening to change it does not go down well.
New Boomsticks Coming
After months of roaming unchallenged, the BTR-82A in the Woods and Streets of Tarkov maps has met its match. The game will be adding the RPG-26 single-use rocket launcher, with a HEAT warhead that gives both armor and infantry a bad time.
After many years, the game is adding only its second .338 Lapua Magnum bolt-action rifle, the Finnish SAKO TGR M10, for the remote workers.
BSG is also reworking the SIG MPX submachinegun and will add 100-round drum mags to both AR-15 platforms and the Uzi.
The Prestige
After completing an unspecified upcoming quest, players will have a Prestige level associated with them. The profile and dog tag will show this, though the execution is not final.
