However, some materials play a crucial role in progression, and Linen is one of them. This craftable item will unlock access to several new mid-tier armor sets both in Hunter’s and Alchemist’s crafting menu. Other than that, it has some other uses in the game that will make it an important piece of your overall progression.
Acquire Hunter’s Hand Spindle
Before you can craft Linen, you will need tofind Hunter’s Hand Spindleand return it to the base. This is a that you will receive after bringing Hunter to your camp. The first part of the quest will task you with visiting Hunter’s Camp, which isa single tentnext to the village. After reading the letter inside the camp, you need to reachthe top floor of a roofless houseinside the village and read the second letter. This will progress to the first two parts of the quest, and will mark the real location of the Hand Spindle inside a cave.
Located to thenorth of RevelwoodFast Travel Point, the cave is flooded by poisonous spiders, but once you make your way to themain hub of the cave, you will spot theorange glowof the Hand Spindle. You can simply rush in, pick it up, and go out without engaging with spiders.
Collect Flax & Craft Linen
Now that you have a Hand Spindle,place it inside your base, and you will be able to craft Linen using one of its recipes. The only thing that you need for Linen isFlax, a flower that only grows in the lush forest biome,around Revelwood’s tower. To be honest, there isn’t a single place to farm Flax. You just need to look for it everywhere in the biome.
However, there is one hint that could significantly help. Everywhere in the biome you see a bunch of gazelles or deers means there should be some Flax around that area. The best way to farm Flax is to plant it on your base, using Farmer’s Seedbed.
