Following the massive release ofElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreelast month,FromSoftwarecontinues to deploy fresh bug fixes and balance adjustments in the form of new patch updates.

While Shadow of the Erdtree was released to critical acclaim last month, PC fans weren’t best pleased with the game’s rocky performance. Due to the constant lag spikes and unstable FPS,Shadow of the Erdtree received mixed reviews on Steam, with some users even citing “unbalanced” bosses as the reason for their negative reviews. The DLC has since gone on toclimb back to a ‘mostly positive’ ratingon the platform, but it looks like performance issues on PC still persist.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like today’s update includes any PC-specific fixes either. While FromSoftware does acknowledge the issues players are experiencing, the studio has simply advised users to disable ray-tracing, which appears to be automatically enabling for some players.
