As part of our mission to offer moreElden Ringguides, we’ll walk you through all the details surrounding the stew and the exact steps you need to take to obtain it.

What The Gourmet Scorpion Stew Does

The Gourmet Scorpion Stew is a consumable item that offers temporary buffs. According to the item description:

“Scorpion simmered in a black soup.An exquisite dish chock-full of mouth-watering scorpion claws.Boosts physical damage negation temporarily and graduallyrestores a great amount of HP.The thoughts and feelings of the cook melt and blend into the stew, but those who can distinguish the taste of love are few and far between.Partake, partake, until thou art sated.”

ThisElden Ringconsumable grants a 10% physical damage negation and regenerates health at a rate of 16 HP per second for 60 seconds.

That’s a solid improvement from the standard Scorpion Stew, which offers only 5% damage negation and 8 HP per second regeneration.

However, unlike the regular Scorpion Stew, you can’t get an infinite supply of the Gourmet version—Hornsent Grandam only gives you two.

Obtain the Items Necessary for the Stew

To obtain The Gourmet Scorpion Stew, you’ll first need to do a little legwork. It starts in the Belurat Tower Settlement, which might be the first legacy dungeon you come across in the DLC.

The first thing you’ll need is the Divine Beast Head, which you can only get by defeating the boss of the Belurat Tower Settlement dungeon, the Divine Beast Dancing Lion. The boss awaits you at the end of the dungeon in the Theatre of the Divine Beast.

It’s worth taking your time to completely explore this area, as there are a few Scadutree Fragments you wouldn’t want to miss, especially at the start of the DLC.

Once you’ve taken the beast down, you’ll be rewarded with the Divine Beast Head—a helmet that’s crucial for getting the stew. That might sound irrelevant, but you’ll see why it’s necessary soon.

The next item on your list is the Storeroom Key, located at the top of the waterfall in the middle of Belurat. To find it, teleport to the Small Private Altar Site of Grace and head through the archway nearby. After that, go up the stairs on the right and then take a left.

After reaching the waterfall, look for a room with a ladder. Climb up to find the key on a corpse. Now that you’ve got both the Divine Beast Head and the Storeroom Key, you’re ready to meet Hornsent Grandam and get that precious stew.

Where to Find The Gourmet Scorpion Stew

With the key in hand, return to the Small Private Altar Site of Grace and head across the bridge nearby. To your right, you’ll see a door—unlock it with the Storeroom Key.

Inside, you’ll find Hornsent Grandam. She’s not going to hand the stew to just anybody, which is why we needed the Divine Beast Head before talking to her. Equip it and interact with her, and she’ll be convinced you’re the real deal. Sorry ma’am.

After a bit of dialogue, she’ll give you Scorpion Stew. You can return for more Scorpion Stew as needed, but you can only hold one at a time. Now, we have some good news and bad news.

The good news is you’ve found The Gourmet Scorpion Stew location. The bad news is, you’re able to’t get the actual item until later in the DLC.

Before Grandam hands over the goods, you need to defeat Messmer in The Black Keep. Don’t worry too much—he can be difficult, but he’s no Promised Consort Radahn. Return to Grandam now and she’ll happily offer you the upgraded version of her original dish.

Unfortunately, you’ll only get two servings of it before she decides to take a permanent break from cooking (if you catch our drift), so use them wisely.

And there you have it, the steps to track down the Gourmet Scorpion Stew in theElden RingDLC.
