Bloodstains have always been integral to all the games by FromSoftware. They serve as a great addition, mainly as a caution sign, signifying the death of another player in the same area. It also helps players feel a sense of companionship so the journey does not seem lonesome.
The reassuring thought of having someone in your position helps boost players’ morale in these extremely challenging games. It has been serving as a warning sign for many years now, and FromSoftware has finally decided to give this mechanic a much-needed upgrade.
