The official Elden Ring Nightreignwebsitehas announced that the game has received a day one patch, ahead ofits May 30 release date. This will address some of the lingering issues with the game, even though there is bad news for PC players.
Elden Ring Nightreign’s V1.01 Patch Notes
According to the patch notes, the Ver 1.01 patch for Elden Ring Nightreign improves the handling of the playable characters, has soundtrack additions and adjustments, text adjustments, balance adjustments, added character scenarios, and unspecified bug fixes.
Additionally, the patch notes provide a solution for running thePC version of the gameon Steam, which involves verifying the integrity of the game files directly within Steam. FromSoftware also confirmed that the game has frame drops on certain graphics cards, which is currently being investigated.
The balance adjustments are the most interesting part of the patch notes, and it’s a shame that a more detailed breakdown wasn’t available. The original Elden Ring also underwentnumerous changes over time, with certain bosses made easier and less frustrating, such as Starscourge Radahn.
Hopefully, the launch version of Elden Ring Nightreign is more enjoyable than the review build. The game is relying heavily on its source material, but the adoration for The Lands Between can only carry a mediocre game for so long.
