EA Confirms New Battlefield in Development, And It Aims to Make You Spend In The Same Way As Call of Duty Black Ops 6

When the Head of Respawn & Group GM for EA Studios Organization, Vince Zampella, wasquestionedif the franchise will ever push into transmedia space, likeFalloutandThe Last of Us, he acknowledged the studio’s interest. However, he stated that the idea isn’t their priority.

There are definitely opportunities there. We’ve had some discussions, but it’s not our core business. To me, that stuff, when it works, it’s super cool… Like Arcane was f*cking great. But there’s other ones that haven’t worked as well and I won’t name those

If theBattlefieldmovie adaptation ever comes to fruition, it could bring a stellar cast to the screen. Jensen Ackles, as gritty and determined Daniel Recker, will prove to be a fearless squad leader. Jing Tian would give strength and depth to a character like Huang Shui, who is a tactical expert with unmatched skills.

Idris Elba has already established a reputation with hisCyberpunk 2077appearance, so it would be a no-brainer to feature him as Kimble Graves, a seasoned commander with a no-nonsense attitude. To top all of that, Robert Pattinson, as Clayton Pakowski, a young tech specialist, would inject energy into the movie.

The NextBattlefieldWould Return to the Peak of the Franchise

While it’s going to be a long while before we see aBattlefieldmovie, a new game in the franchise is already on the horizon. Zampella has touched upon various aspects of the new game, and it certainly looks promising so far.

The next entry in the franchise will return to a modern setting that hasn’t been seen since 2014’sBattlefield 4. Battlefield 2042 Could Have Restored the Franchise to the Top of the FPS Pile But EA Let Us Down

A first look at the newBattlefieldgame was also finally let loose. Although the concept art doesn’t give us anything in particular, it brings the same blue and orange color palette that was known to be linked withBattlefield 3andBattlefield 4. The art clearly suggests that city destruction could once again be a major factor, given the fire spreading across the town.

Lastly, it’s also been confirmed that the next game will only support 64 players in total. While2042tried its best to support 128 players per match, it proved to be a disaster.
