Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar has been making the headlines throughout this past year. However, it’s definitely not his first time beefing with another rapper. From Pusha T, Ludacris, and Chris Brown, to Megan Thee Stallion and more, he has squared up to many fellow rappers over the years.

Although he has since made up with many of them, he has also taken liberties to create new ones in the meantime. One among his many feuds, though, sort of followed a similar pattern to the one he had with Kendrick Lamar.
With corresponding blow after blow, the two heat up the rap circles for a while. Interestingly, though, the one to emerge victorious at that time was Drake.

Drake’s feud with rapper Meek Mill had a similar rhythm to the one with Kendrick Lamar
As stated above,Drake is a man of many feuds, and most of them have lasted for years. Some, though, were particularly memorable, like the one withMeek Millafter they collaborated on the latter’s 2015 albumDreams Worth More Than Money. In a since deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), he explained the reason why Drake wasn’t promoting the album as perBBC.
Stop comparing Drake to me too. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!

The point of contention was the songR.I.C.O.from said album, and asBusiness Insiderreported, Mill claimed that he would have dropped the track altogether from the album had they found out earlier.
Well while the ghostwriting accusations came back to haunt the Canadian rapper during his feud with Kendrick Lamar, at that time, it unfortunately did not create as much of an impact.

Regardless, they kept going after each other for the next few years with Drake’sCharged UpandBack to Back, and Mill responding withWanna Know. TheTootsie Slidesinger, though, denied all accusations of using a ghostwriter for his tracks.

Drake’sSummer Sixteenand Meek Mill’s reactionaryWar Painalso found them dissing each other. Interestingly, though, the feud culminated in theNice For Whatsinger bagging a sweeping victory as his mentioned tracks, especiallyBack to Backremain one of his most popular songs.
Moreover, many found Mill’s tracks far weaker, and lacking the cutting-edge hook that diss tracks are known for. Something fans actually said about Drake’s diss tracks to Kendrick Lamar this past year. Regardless, the beef with Meek Mill died down in 2018 when Drake invited him on stage during a concert in Boston.

“She’ll also not hate me for it”: What Did Drake Say About Serena Williams Before She Joined His Biggest Enemy Kendrick Lamar at Super Bowl Halftime Show
TheGod’s Plansinger made a big show of calling his former nemesis to the stage stating,“This right here is a long time coming.”He also made a social media post of the two of them together after the concert with a caption along the same lines.
Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s reconciliation seems impossible after the latter’s Super Bowl Halftime performance
While Aubrey Graham’s recent beef withKendrick Lamarfollowed a similar pattern, this time it was the Compton native who had the last laugh. In fact, if his songNot Like Uswinning five Grammysand the iconic Super Bowl Halftime show is anything to go by, the chances of them ever reconciling are also slim.
So seem to be the chances of thePush Upssinger becoming the bigger person and making a public show of reconciling with his nemesis. The added charm ofSerena Williams hopping on stage during Lamar’s performanceof the Drake diss only seems to have cemented that fact.
Interestingly, after Kendrick Lamar was revealed to be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime show,Drake’s legal team issued a statement regardingUniversal Music’s continued promotion of the contentious song. Mostly because they claimed it is defamatory in nature and harms their client’s reputation.

The entire arena vocalizing together“A minor”,probably didn’t please theHotline Blingsinger too much. Nor did the fact that theMoney Treessinger wore a bold gold chain with a small font“a”locket during the show.
Nevertheless, Drake seems to have taken the high road and refused to comment publicly on the recently held show. As days go by, it’ll be interesting to see if Drake truly raises the white flag or responds in kind to Lamar’s continuous provocation.
