Players can Enhance not only their own gear, but their Pawn’s too, making sure the whole party has the best weapons for monster-slaying.

How To Enhance Gear
Both weapons and armor can beenhanced by any sort of blacksmith, whether a Smithy or Armory.Head to any nearby blacksmith andselect the third option, “Enchance Equipment.“This will open the Equipment Enhancement menu, starting with the main character and all of their equipment listed below.
When hovering over a piece of armor or weapon, theleft side of the screen will indicate how each stat will be affectedby the next upgrade. The middle of the screen will show multiple empty circles, indicating howmany times that piece can be upgraded.Should any materials be needed to upgrade that weapon, they will be listed below those three circles, with players only able tosee the required materials for the next available upgrade and nothing further.
When hovering over a piece of gear,pressing “Confirm” in the bottom right of the screenwill use up any necessary materials and Gold to purchase that next Enhancement for the gear piece.Items will also be pulled from your Pawn’s inventory,so it doesn’t matter who carries them. Thefirst upgrade for every gear piece doesn’t require items and only alittle gold,making it an easy upgrade to get to make a new gear piece just slightly better right away.

How To Get Materials
Most materials required for Enchance gear will bemonster drops or ores mined from deposits.Ore deposits are often found in or around caves or at the base of large mountains.Many required materials will also be monster drops,so it’s important to go and scavenge dead bodies of felled monsters to stay stocked up on materials.
Materials can get heavy, and players canleave items in their Storage that is accessed at Inns in town.Monster drops can be rare and difficult to obtain again if accidentally sold away, so keep them safe in your Storage until its time to finally use them.
Enhance Gear Or Buy New?
While all gear can be Enhanced multiple times,some gear is just naturally better than others.If the base stats of a weapon are higher than another’s, its fully Enhanced version will also be higher. While enhancing can often be cheaper gold-wise than buying new gear, this should oftenjust be a temporary solution until enough is saved up to purchase a stronger weapon,even if it needs to first be Enhanced a time or two to get ahead. Enhancing gear will often lower the weight of the item, making it easier to handle with a lowercarry capacity.
Depending on a character’s Vocation, they will need new gear whenunlocking and using a new one.Summoning other character’s pawnscan also be a useful way to see other equipment loadouts before trying it yourself using your own money and resources.
