One of the biggest thingsDisney Dreamlight Valleydoes to separate itself from the competition is that, unlike otherfarming simulators, there’s been an overarching plot that every major update has added further pieces. The Remembering Update adds a climax to the previous threads, where the player character gets to finally learn why and how The Forgotten destroyed the Valley in the past.

Players who have not finished the previous story quests will have to wait until they do, as the Forgotten Memories quest lines will be locked until then. Beware of spoilers.
How To Start Forgotten Memories
If you’ve completed every previous story quest, such asNature and Nurture, you’ll be givena short cutscene showing the Pumpkin House in the Forgotten Lands.This is your clue to enter inside and discover the surprise occupant of the house is none other than the Fairy Godmother. Speaking with her will reveal she knows about the situation as well as the location of another Orb for the Pillars — but first, she needs you tobring her 5 Purified Night Shards.
The Fairy Godmother will tell you that your next destination is a realm of dreams, and to follow her to a spot in The Forgotten Lands that will become a Night Thorn-covered tree house. Go inside.
The room inside holds the Orb, but it’s out of power. You need a total of6 memories, and the first 3 are on the pedestals throughout the room.Collect them to start unlocking a Memory Picture, and once you reach that dead end, the Fairy Godmother will tell you that you have to travel into The Forgotten’s past.
Forgotten Memories: Friendship
For the next parts of this quest series,you play as The Forgotten during the events that drove them evil.The first task you have to complete is speaking with Mickey Mouse, who will ask how you’re doing and note that you seem to be feeling down.No matter what you pick as an answer, the Forgotten will brush off all responses, so you cannot get this wrong.
After brushing Mickey’s concern away, he’ll ask you to pick some flowers to make a bouquet for Minnie. There are enoughugly flowersthroughout this area that you canjust run around and pick them.
You only need 5, and there’s more than that.
After collecting the flowers, head to the crafting station by Goofy’s house tocraft the Hideous Bouquet, give it to Minnie, then head back to Mickey.Mickey will try to talk to you again, and then say Goofy wanted to see you.
Goofy will give you an exquisite shrimp and ask you to find the ingredients for a Bouillabaisse.
Cook theNasty Bouillabaisseand give it to Goofy. Like Mickey, Goofy will attempt to talk to you, and then say that Minnie had something to talk to you about.
Minnie will not have a task for you — she will only attempt to tell you that you’re loved. No matter your answer, this doesn’t work, and theOrb of Friendship will fall from the Pillar. Leave the area after this cutscene to pick up the new Memory.

Forgotten Memories: Trust
Speaking with the Fairy Godmother will open another portal to the past, and this time, you’ll be speaking toMother Gothelas The Forgotten. Instead of a fetch quest, Gothel will propose a plan to you.
Gothel will accuse Merlin of lying about the power of the Pillar of Trust, and she suggests you rip out the Orb.All you have to do is interact with it, and a cutscene of it falling will play. Gothel will promise to take care of it, while then offering you a fetch quest after all.
Mother Gothel will claim she dropped herJewel-Encrusted Mirror into the waterby mistake and wants youto fish it outwith your Royal Fishing Pole.The Mirror was fished out at the above spot — anorange bubble locationat the waterbetween the Glade Of Trustand theSunlit Plateau—but do note it’s possible the real spawn point could just be whichever orange spot you fished at last.There are other orange bubbles in the smaller tide pools. Return to Gothel, and she’ll admit she lied for the power of the Orb, and this trip to the past will end, earning you another Memory to pick up.
Forgotten Memories: Nurturing
Your final location from the Fairy Godmother will send you to Scar, who also hates the Pillars and wants you to destroy one. Despite knowing it’s a trap, The Forgotten will follow orders.
First, you have tofind and destroy 8 flowers, and they will all beOrange Houseleek, so they should beeasy to spot.
Speak with Scar again, and he’ll give you 25Night Thorn seeds, but you onlyplant 15 of them;5 near theDream Fruit tree,5 near themine entrance,and 5 in front of thePillar of Nurturing.You also have towater each seedyou plant, but only once.
Pick up the Orb when it drops, talk to Scar, and then talk to Merlin. This ends your final trip.
What’s Left Behind
The Memory Orb will be restored when you grab the last Memory, but The Forgotten will make a surprise appearance at the last second tosteal it. You won’t be able to talk them out of it.
Leave the dream realm and report the bad news to Fairy Godmother. She’ll say the two of you and Merlin will come up with something, but that the whole universe is now ingrave danger.
