The fact that it gives away anExotic armorpiece, as well as aLegendary weapon, is tempting enough to begin completing the quests quickly and earn a subclass-based piece of armor that allows you to enhance your Arc build and benefit from improved abilities.
Step 1: Acquire Mission From Ikora At The Tower
In order to acquire the mission, you need to pay a visit to Ikora Rey. You can find her in the Bazaar section of the Tower. After talking to her, you will havethree missionsto acquirebased on three Light subclasses. Along with Taming The Storm, you are suggested to acquireInto The AbyssandExalting The Flamemissions as well, which are related to Void and Solar sub-classes, respectively.
You need to have all three Light subclasses unlockedto be able to acquire the aforementioned missions.
Step 2: Use Your Arc Abilities
This part of the mission includes three different progression trackers.
Generally, you can do any kind of activity to fill in those progression bars, but probably the best choices for you areVanguard OpsandNightfalls, especially if you haven’t received the weekly Pinnacle rewards yet. It really depends on your Arc build and your performance in the activity, but we have a bunch of build suggestions as well as a number of tips to help you complete this part faster, as it is the most time-consuming step of the mission.
Best Arc Build To Jolt Enemies
The build above gives youthe most Jolting capability, which is the hardest progression bar to complete. Keep in mind thatJolting an enemy doesn’t necessarily mean killing them. Thanks to theSpark of Shock fragment, any type ofArc grenade will Jolt enemies, but usually, Storm Grenade and Lightning Grenade are better as they damage a larger area. Also, some Supers likeHunter’s Gathering Stormwill Jolt enemies while damaging them.
As soon as you finish all progression bars, you can proceed with the mission.
Step 3: Complete Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector In Cosmodrome
Now, head toCosmodromeand drop atThe Steppers landing zone. Once you spawn, turn back and head inside the abandoned buildingbehind yourself. Make sure to track the quest so that you can see the navigation markers on your screen.
You are basically going to fight against Fallen in this Lost Sector, facing a lot of Servitors. The final boss itself is a Servitor as well. As you are going to play the Lost Sector at the normal difficulty level, you can easily overcome the challenges, but we suggest yougrab a Machine Gun as your Power Weaponto take down Servitors quite fast.Rocket Launcheris also a good option, but you should really avoidGrenade Launcheras the boss will be floating in the air, which makes it quite tough to hit it with a Grenade Launcher.
You are not going to face any Barrier or Overload Champions. So, you are free to choose whatever weapon you like, butan SMG or an Auto Riflewith a higher reload speed would be quite beneficial.
As soon as you kill the Lost Sector’s boss and loot the chest, your mission will be progressed to the next step.
Step 4: Meet Ikora At The Tower To Receive Exotic Armor
The time has come to receive your Exotic reward. Head to Bazaar in Tower and speak with Ikora Rey to receive your reward. However, this is not the end of the mission, as you need to try out your new Exotic in a Strike activity and unlock the next reward. Here is the list of Exotic rewards in this step for each character class:
Step 5: Equip Your New Exotic Armor & Enable Arc Subclass
This step simply tasks you to wear your new Exotic armor and change your subclass to Arc to get ready for the next step, which is completing a Strike mission.
Step 6: Complete The Devil’s Lair Strike In Cosmodrome
It’s now time to test your Arc skills with the new Exotic. The Devil’s Lair is a three-player activity in Cosmodrome, where you will get to fight against Fallen and some Hive. The final boss is a giant Servitor that you need to take down in three phases.
However, there will be a bunch of mini-bosses as well, including a Walker tank. Since the bosses and mini-bosses will be at a moderately distant location from your position, we suggest you equip aLinear Fusion Riflein yourPower slot. You can also use aSniper Riflein any of the Energy or Kinetic slots to land better precision hits at the boss and mini-bosses. However, anAuto Rifleor at least aScout Rifleis heavilyrequired to get rid of the rank-and-file enemies.
Step 7: Meet Banshee-44 At The Tower
After completing the Strike, head to Tower for one last meeting. This time around, you will pay a visit to Banshee-44 to receive the Combined Action Hand Cannon, which is an Arc-based weapon. This reward is universal between all character classes.
