TheDemon Slayerfighting game was finally announced in English, under the nameDemon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba The Hinokami Chronicles, coming with both Japanese and English voice-overs in 2021 - here’s everything you should know.

In Japan, the game is namedKimetsu no Yaiba Hinokami Keppuutan, and was now officially localized asDemon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles. The localization is handled by Sega Asia, and anofficial sitewas opened.
Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami chroniclesis planned for a 2021 release on PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is sadly not coming to Nintendo Switch. The Asian version includes Japanese, English voice-overs, and subtitles in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese.

CyberConnect2, known for theNaruto Ultimate Ninja Stormseries, and thedot HackJRPG series, is the developer ofDemon Slayer The Hinokami Chronicles. The studio is used to anime fighting games, and is sure to deliver a great game with visuals very close to the anime, as seen in the trailers.

All the characters are playable in Versus mode, which will also include an online Versus mode.

Tag Battle system
Demon Slayer The Hinokami Chronicleshas 1 v 1 fights, however, you can switch your character out during battle with a tag partner. CyberConnect2 already confirmed there is no simultaneous 2 vs 2 battle, and no four player mode either.
Looking at the gameplay we’ve seen so far, and CyberConnect2’s track record,Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chroniclesis bound to be a huge success this 2021. TheDemon Slayergame, together with the anime series, will keep the flame alive even after the original manga by Koyoharu Gotouge ended. TheMugen Trainmovie is still in American theaters as well.
