Deltarune: How To Recruit Everyone
When your friends are you power, it helps to know an army.
Deltarune Chapter 3 introduced possiblythe most difficult bossToby Fox has ever created, the Roaring Knight. While there are items and tactics that can make this fight easier, there was one attack that everyone considered unfair. In a post on BlueSky, Toby Fox has announced the Patch 1.03 update for the various incarnations of Deltarune, with one notable change made to the Roaring Knight.

The Roaring Knight’s Sword Tunnel Is Now More Forgiving
The Roaring Knight’s most infamous attack is referred to as the “Sword Tunnel” by Fox, and sometimes as the “Sword Corridor” by fans. This attack involvesdodging a pathway made of swordsbefore they create damaging patterns across the screen.
Fans have complained that the red lines, which are meant to show where the swords will fly, were misleading, and their AoE was much bigger, making it seem like some areas were safe to move to, when they weren’t.

In the new patch, the AoE of the swords has been made smaller in order to make them easier for the player to dodge. Naturally, some fans are bragging that they beat the boss when it was at its hardest, but those trying to 100% the game are too busy breathing sighs of relief to care, as the Sword Tunnel trulywas a nightmare to face.
