While Team Jade’sDelta Forcewas released as a free-to-play multiplayer shooter last year, the game received a single-player campaign titled Black Hawk Down last month. This campaign was based on the 2004 original on PC, remade with upgraded visuals, new gameplay mechanics and more.
The thing with the campaign is, it’s really, really hard. It’s designed that way, and Team Jade encourages players to squad up and take out insurgents co-operatively. But what if you don’t have any friends to play the campaign with (or you just don’t have friends at all)? The developers have a solution to that.

Delta Force Black Hawk Down Solo Mode In The Works
Speaking toVideogamer, game design director Ricky Liao confirmed they are working on a Delta Force Black Hawk Down Solo Mode, that will let people who play it have their own difficulty options.
Liao said, “We’re introducing a solo mode, which will offer a more approachable experience for players who prefer playing alone, while maintaining the core tactical elements of the game,”

As for the current Black Hawk Down mode, Liao shared they are making “balancing changes to make the game feel more fair” in specific areas,” though there are no plans to add a difficulty mode slider. “The challenge is intentional and we’ve designed the game to provide an immersive experience that challenges players to think tactically,” Liao explains.
This is definitely good news, especially for those who just want to complete the campaign. While there’s no date for when players will receive Solo Mode, expect it as a title update to be released separately from the multiplayer component that gets updated on its own.

Same with Delta Force’s multiplayer, the Black Hawk Down campaign is also free-to-play and can be downloaded now on PC. You cancheck out our hands-on of it, where we said, “The game doesn’t reinvent the FPS wheel, but that’s entirely okay. What’s here seems like a tough, grounded, tactical military shooter that I’m fully expecting to find an audience with those who lean more toward the hardcore side of things.”
