To become a good Porter inDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach, it’s essential to bring the right equipment with you on every delivery. While all the equipment in the game has an important purpose, some are more useful than others.

As players progress through the main story, deliveries become longer and some force the player to trek through rough land. If players don’t travel well-equipped with the right gear, then it’s very possible to lose cargo and even fail the delivery.

Death Stranding 2 Beats Mario Kart World Sales

Hideo Kojima’s magic takes #1 by beating Mario Kart World in sales this week.

Knowing what to bring can be confusing, but this guide should help. Here are themost useful tools to bring on deliveries in Death Stranding 2.

Floating Carrier Death Stranding 2 On the Beach

Floating Carrier

One of the most important tools in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is the Floating Carrier. More often than not, Sam willbecome overweight during deliveries, either from the start or by picking up lost cargo on the journey.

Having a Floating Carrier on handcan help you carry more cargo without becoming overweight. It even allows Sam to keep up the pace and run fast since it attaches to his hip and floats behind him.

Every like counts to fuel that dopamine rush!

The best part about a Floating Carrier is that you can have it in your backpack and only equip it once you’re ready to. Once you’re ready to load it up, place it on the ground and add as much cargo as you’d like to it.

Floating Carrier LV 1 carries 300 KG, while LV 2carries 900kg. This is an incredible amount of weight and can even allow Sam to complete two deliveries in one journey.

PCC Death Stranding 2 On the Beach

It’s always important to have a PCC on hand while making long deliveries. This useful tool, which comes in LV 1 and LV 2,allows Sam to construct structures. As you already know, there are many different structures in Death Stranding 2 that provide different benefits.

For example, if you’re making a delivery by vehicle, a PCC will allow you tobuild a generator and recharge the vehicle. Or maybe you’ll encounter Timefall with BTs, which then you can use a PCC to create a Timefall Shelter for protection.

Just to make it clear about how useful PCCs are in Death Stranding 2, I created a grid to show all available structures in the game. Below are all the structures you can build with a PCC in Death Stranding 2:

Build bridges to help cross rivers.

Store unwanted cargo, recycle materials, fabricate new equipment.

Watchtowers

Get a bird’s-eye view of the area.

Timefall Shelter

Shelters you from Timefall, which repairs cargo and protects you from BTs.

Generators

Recharge vehicles and Skeletons.

Travel fast between two Zip-Line locations.

Jump Ramps

Use a vehicle to shoot off the ramp, jumping across a large gap.

A place where Sam can rest, restore stamina and health, restore ammo, and recharge vehicles.

Transponders

Create a fast travel point.

Chiral Bridges

Creates a hologram bridge that can go across rough terrain.

Hot Spring Digger

Creates a Hot Springthat gives Sam a temporary buff.

Cargo Catapult

Shoots your cargo across a large distance, allowing it to get to its delivery point safely.

Death Stranding 2 Picks Up Where Kojima’s Tech Warnings Left Off

In Death Stranding 2, series creator Hideo Kojima explains how the title continues the series' critiques and commentaries on advanced technologies.

Long story short, a PCC is the perfect tool to get you out of a pinch and make your deliveries much safer. I recommend carrying at least two PCCs on all long deliveries.

Climbing Anchor

Nothing is worse than walking a long path and ending up reaching the top of a cliff with no way down to the ground. This iswhere Climbing Anchors come upand save the day.

Climbing Anchorsallow players to grapple down from a high cliff safely, without having to backtrack and find another way down. They are extremely easy to use and can be planted onto almost any type of surface.

However, be careful while using a Climbing Anchor and Floating Carrier together. The Climbing Anchor can only hold so much weight, and grappling down can cause the Floating Carrier’s string to snap and fall to the ground.

Bokka or Boost Skeleton

Sam is pretty weak and slow by default, but that can be easily fixed through Skeletons. More specifically, the Bokka or Boost Skeletons, where the former helps withnavigating rocky and snowy terrain, while the latterfocuses on increasing speed.

Depending on what type of delivery you’re currently doing, you’ll want to equip one of these two Skeletons over the others. For example, if a delivery is really far, but the route is mostly flat, then the Boost Skeleton can help get you there quicker.

However, if a route requires climbing mountains and cliffs, the Bokka will make it much easier.

Skeletons even allow Sam tocarry more weight on his back, making them extremely valuable when it comes to collecting lost cargo and materials. Just be prepared to create a generator with a PCC to recharge the Skeleton’s batteries since they run out fairly quickly.

WHERE TO PLAY

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is the upcoming sequel from Hideo Kojima for Death Stranding. As mysterious and inscrutable as the first game was leading up to launch, details are sparse on this bizarre open-world exploration game.
