One of the unique tools at your disposal isthe Alex Game Control mechanic, a new voice system that the game introduces. While it is certainly a point of emphasis in marketing, the game isn’t necessarily the most descriptive in helping you understand what it is and how it works.
What Is Alexa Game Control System?
The Alexa Game Control System is essentiallya way for you to talk to the game, using your voice to affect the world around you. It is run through an Amazon-connected service and allows you to use a set of established phrases to perform certain actions and interact with the surrounding zombies. While you can’t say whatever you want to get it to work, there is still a lot of potential in how you can affect scenarios.

How to Use Alexa Game Control
to get started using the voice system, you willneed an Amazon account and a microphone, which the game recommends using a headset for. You also don’t need an Amazon Echo or Alexa device in order to use this system, thankfully, as it is built into the game already.
You will first be prompted to use the system when you reach the Bel-Air area of the game. You can either follow this prompt, or if you miss it, you can head into the Options menu, andselect the Alexa Game Control Option. Here, you can choose to enable the system, and doing so will prompt a QR code to pop up on your screen along with a six-letter code to use with a given link. Use either of these methods to link your Amazon account to your game.
You can thenplay around with the settingsfor the system, including whether you want to toggle mute, change audio input devices, and more. Choose which ones work best for you and make sure that it says, “Ready”. This means that it is up and running for you to jump in.
Once you load into your save, you will be able to use the system. In the bottom-left corner of your screen, you may have seen a red triangle with an exclamation mark. This is now replaced witha circle that will light up bluewhenever it detects input from you. It will also let you know if it heard your command correctly.

What Can You Do With Alexa Game Control?

It’s a gimmicky kind of feature, but something that canprove useful and fun, nonetheless.
It is also important to note that this feature isnot available on Playstation, with it only being available for PC and Xbox players. As of the time of this writing, it is not clear if the system will be implemented into Playstation versions of the game in the future.
