As the Shovel Knight, Dead Cell players will get the new brutality weapon King Scepter, allowing them to dash around and bounce on the heads' of their enemies. As Katana from Katana Zero, you’ll be able to obtain the new ability Throwable Objects, allowing players to throw whatever items are at their disposal with lightning speed. Playing with the Jacket skin from Hotline Miami, players will be able to use the iconic Baseball Bat to deal critical damage to stunned enemies.
Starfury is the ability coming from Terraria, causing each melee hit to summon a star that targets a nearby mob. From Risk of Rain, we get the Laser Glaive, a new brutality weapon that bounces across the room, causing more damage with each bounce. Finally, the update includes a new colorless power from Slay the Spire. The power gives players cards to choose from, with each one having a different effect on your foes.

The trailer puts each of these new weapons and abilities on a pedestal, highlighting their greatest uses. The Laser Glaive from Risk of Rain looks to be one of the more effective items being added, as the video shows the player destroying numerous enemies with a single throw. The Shovel Knight skin and ability fit into Dead Cells well, with the trailer featuring the beloved indie character bouncing off of enemies with ease.
This update includes six new rooms dedicated to each of the indie games. It’s also the second update bringing popular characters from other indie titles over, as the Everyone is Here Vol. I update included skills and skins fromHollow KnightandGuacamelee.
