Rings can range in usefulness depending on your build, and the right combination can help make your character feel unstoppable. Here is a list of the best 15 rings you need to find right away.

Updated By Joshua Leeds On February 3rd, 2023:Rings have always been the make or break for builds in Soulsborne games. So, we’ve added five more Rings that can enhance your build. Along with that, we’ve also updated the article’s formatting to bring it close to our current standards.

Player Retrieving Their Souls

15Ring Of Sacrifice

Collecting Souls is the cornerstone of getting better in any dark souls game. When a player is killed, they lose all their obtained souls and are returned to the most recent bonfire, with their souls left on the ground wherever they die. You are then only given a single life to retrieve those souls, and should you die before getting them back, they’ll disappear forever.

When the Ring Of Sacrifice is equipped, it will break upon death, and the player will respawn at the nearest bonfire with all of their souls. While it can be an expensive ring to fix, it can be incredibly worthwhile in the later sections of the game or after a boss fight.

Player After Being Cursed

14Rare Ring Of Sacrifice

The Rare Ring of Sacrifice works just like the regular Ring Of Sacrifice, breaking upon death to have the player keep all of their souls. This ring is a bit more useful in that it will keep the player from getting cursed and will break upon death.

While curse effects are not often, they can significantly hinder the player and require specific and expensive items to cure, as a curse causes an immediate death, which is even more frustrating if you’re carrying too many souls at once.

Player Standing On Lava

13Orange Charred Ring

This ring is necessary to traverse the lava-covered ruins of the Demon Ruins. While this ring is equipped, players receive a major decrease in lava damage, and while it still can build up at a decent speed, lava is nowhere near as deadly as it is without this ring.

Within the Demon Ruins are multiple bosses and enemies that utilize lava arenas, and this ring helps open up the map greatly, allowing you to feel free in your dodges. This ring also gives a slight fire boost to a player’s kick attacks to add a surprise elemental boost to a usually weak attack.

12Rusted Iron Ring

The Rusted Iron Ring helps players who focus on dodging and like to move quickly out of the way of the devastating attacks from the enemies of Dark Souls. When this ring is equipped, players don’t receive a movement penalty in water or the sludge of Blighttown.

While moving in areas like this, the player will often be moving much slower than the enemy and will be at a great disadvantage in an already difficult game. This ring makes sure the playing field is always even, and you can dodge to your stamina bar’s content.

Player On The Lowest Level Of Blighttown

11Tiny Being Ring

The Tiny Being Ring is a starting item that offers a decent bonus at the start of the game, which continues to grow with your level. When this ring is equipped, players will receive a boost in their health based on a percentage from their max HP.

With this being a percentage bonus, as your HP increases, so will the boost. While you can only equip two rings, this is a decent option early game or for late-game builds that have focused greatly on leveling up their Vitality.

Player Fighting Undead With High HP

10Dark Wood Grain Ring

You’ve probably seen the Dark Souls memes of players rolling non-stop, and that couldn’t be any more true. Dodge rolls are the bread and butter of this game, and this ring only makes them better. While equipped, your player’s dodge animation changes to a hand-spring flip-type animation.

This animation takes longer, meaning you’re invincible to damage for slightly longer, allowing for more room for error with your timing. This ring does require a light equipment load to use, but it makes for the perfect ring for a fast-moving low equipment load build.

9Covetous Gold Serpent Ring

Many great weapons and items are dropped from enemies. Humanity is also an incredibly useful item in this game, also farmed from enemy drops. Equipping this ring boosts your item discovery by 200 points, making finding items much easier.

The max discovery a character can reach is 410, and every character starts at 100. This ring, along with your base stats, makes your item discovery get to three-fourths of its max without any other upgrades to this stat.

8Ring Of Steel Protection

Staying alive is always a clear goal in any video game, but in Dark Souls, this is much more difficult. While heavier armor makes you move much slower, this ring boosts your defense without any significant increase to your equipment load.

There is a difference with this ring for PVP and PVE damage. The damage reduction is greater from random enemies and is halved for real players.

7Ring of Sun’s Firstborn

Increasing base damage for any build is always a go-to take. While Faith builds are mostly used to focus on healing and support miracles, they can also do a great amount of damage. The Ring of the Sun’s Firstborn boosts miracle damage by 20%.

This ring does not affect healing miracles or support-type miracles but does boost damage-dealing miracles. It can also stack with Monroe’s Ring to even further increase your miracle damage.

6Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring

Magic builds rely on spell damage more than their physical weapons. Focusing on intelligence over your other skills can greatly boost your overall spell damage, but you may also rely on this ring. While equipped, your spell and pyromancy damage is increased by about 25%.

With this being a boost by percentage, the higher your intelligence, the higher this ring scales your damage. This ring can also be stacked with other armor sets that further boost your spell damage.
