Even though early indications ofMarvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order’ssales seemed to tell us that the game was performing quite well, it still didn’t do enough in its first week of availability in the UK to top Crash Bandicoot.
In this past week’s UK sales chart for video game software,Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueledwas the week’s biggest winner and came out ahead of the rest of the pack.Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3ended up debuting right behind Crash in the second-place spot. While this might seem disappointing forMUA3, this order actually makes a bit of sense.CTRhas the advantage of being on multiple platforms whileMarvel Ultimate Alliance 3is exclusive for Switch.
Plus, as history has shown us, those folks in the UK really love them some Crash Bandicoot as bothNitro-Fueledand theN. Sane Trilogyhave dominated the UK charts over the past few years. Ukie also mentions thatCTRbeing discounted forAmazon Prime Daywas also a big boost for the title.
As for the rest of the list this week, it’s more of the same for the most part.Super Mario Maker 2,FIFA 19, andRed Dead Redemption 2rounded out the top five entries on the week. Meanwhile, the rest of the chart has many more titles moving around than before because of the aforementioned sales with Prime Day.
Per usual, the full top-40 list from last week in the UK can be examined below.
