Counter-Strike 2has officially replaced the fan favoriteCounter-Strike: Global Offensiveand quite understandably not all the maps from the old game were available at launch. This caused players to wonder what happened to their favorite maps.

Putting all speculation to a stop, newly released footage shows a glimpse of the popular Cache map which was not initially released.But fans can now rest easy knowing that the map is about to make it into the game. After replacingCS: GOon Steam on 27th September 2023,Counter-Strike 2has already garnered a massive fan following.

Cache Makes a Comeback in Counter-Strike 2

WhenCounter-Strike 2was released, a few maps were missing from their roster. Players were especially disgruntled with the absence of Cache as it is one of the more popular maps. But all that is about to change as leaks suggest that Cache is indeed on its way.

Players have been overjoyed by this as a lot of them took to the comments to express their eagerness to get going on this map. No official release date has been confirmed yet on the part of the developers. But fans can expect the map to go live through an update shortly.

Cache is not the only map that is primed to be introduced to the game later. There are other maps like Train, which was also featured in the trailer, that will inevitably make it to the game later on.

Does Counter-Strike 2 Have More Maps on the Way?

There has been no definitive update regarding the release of more maps as of yet. But, multiple sources have confirmed already that more maps are in the process of development and will be released as part of future updates.

Train and Baggage are two popular maps that are likely to make a comeback in the near future. There are other maps like Shortdust, Canals, Lake, and Shoots that are in development.

Whether the maps will be released one by one or at a single go is not yet clear. However, the maps are being developed and fans will get to play in them. The real question is when. And with the developers keeping their cards close to their chest, fan speculation is running wild.
