While deemed a commercial failure, the game received a cult following, and fans wonder whether the sequel will ever be released.
Instead of a sequel, Ubisoft recently revealedBeyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition. This new edition brings graphic fidelity of the modern era and changes to the story and new content, scheduled to release on June 25 on all platforms.
Beyond Good & Evil Anniversary Edition Comes With Many Improvements
Beyond Good & Evilsequel was announced officially back in 2017 but true fans knew about the sequel years before that. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much news on the upcoming game in recent years, with the publisher keeping players in the dark.

However, the wait for theBeyond Good & Evilsequel got a bit easier with the new anniversary edition. The rehashed edition will come with a visual and gameplay overhaul. The adventure of Jade will now come in a 4K resolution and 60 frame rate.

The world of Hillys is also ready for an overhaul with a new treasure hunt that goes deep into Jade’s past giving players new challenges and rewards. Moreover, an anniversary gallery is something that the true fans of the original game will love, as it is full of behind-the-scenes content and secrets yet to be discovered.

However, the announcement didn’t knock fans’ socks out, as many are asking the same thing, the status of the sequel. Despite how improved the new edition is, Jade, the photojournalist who uses a camera as a weapon deserves a sequel.

The publisher and fans aren’t on the same page when it comes to this particular video game, as fans don’t want an improved original game, but a full-length sequel game.
