Of the Devil Hunters inChainsaw Man, many of Division 4’s Devil Hunters are part Devil in some capacity. Aside from the protagonist, Denji, the most iconic example is the Blood Fiend, Power. Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creator behind the series, depicts Power as a wonderfully violent and brash companion to Denji, contrasting heavily with their conventional human roommate, Aki.

Power is primarily interested in two things: her cat, Meowy, and dominating all of humanity. Despite the latter goal, she issomewhatagreeable—the “somewhat” just makes for better moments. From moments in which she harasses the surrounding humans to moments in which she defends the humans with her nearly-immortal life, here are some of Power’s best moments in Chainsaw Man.
10Denji Gets a New Partner
After Denji and Aki fight a fiend in Episode 2, “Arrival in Tokyo,” they report back to Makima. Here, she tells the two that Denji has been assigned a new partner. At that moment, Power explosively barges into the room, commands the humans to prostrate themselves, announces her name, and strikes a menacing pose.
Every aspect of her entrance encapsulates who she is—loud, quick to anger, and above humans. Despite her irrational nature, Makima assures Denji that she is “quite rational” (for a Fiend).

9Power Moves In
At the end of Episode 4, “Rescue,” Power has yet another explosive entrance. After endangering Denji (and the Tokyo metropolitan area) for her cat, Meowy, Makima, and Aki decide not to punish Power.

The next day, Aki and Denji wake up in their apartment and engage in everyday activities — making coffee, eating breakfast, and doing chores. As lunch comes around, Power suddenly busts down the door with several bags in tow; much to Denji and Aki’s surprise, Power is their new roommate. After the whole debacle with Meowy causing two Devils to attack Tokyo, Makima has arranged for this new rooming situation. In any case, Power’s entrance (and subsequent toilet clogging) make for an excellent entrance for the audience and an awful first impression for her new roommates.
8Himeno-Power Combo
Towards the end of Episode 5, “Gun Devil,” the Devil Hunters believed they found the Devil they’d been looking for: a single head waddling on the floor. The head jumps at Kobeni when Power suddenly cuts in, slicing the Devil in half with a sword made from her own blood.
Power then brags that she is so powerful that the Devil must have frozen in pure fear.Himeno, the newly introduced character, explains that she stopped the Devil in midair with her own ability, where she can use a ghostly, invisible hand.

7Nobel Prize in Domination
During Episode 6, “Kill Denji,” the Devil Hunters are either lazing around, looking for a way out ofthe Eternity’s Devil’s trapor are panicked about the situation. Without any stimulation, Power conducts a speech to Himeno and Denji about her intentions to win a Nobel Prize—so that humans would revere her as a god, of course. She frantically claims that this would lead to her becoming the Prime Minister and enacting a 100% consumption tax to further subjugate humans to her will.
Himeno, concerned about the Fiend’s behavior, asks Denji if Power is alright. Denji, all too familiar with Power, states that Power is acting as normally as usual.

6Academic Ambush
During Denji and Power’s training throughout Episode 10, “Bruised & Battered,” Denji and Power are killed and beaten unconscious over twenty times. Utterly beaten and frustrated with losing to Kishibe, an unhinged but highly competent alcoholic, they formulate a plan to use their brains to beat him.

The next day, they each wear glasses — aside from looking quite nice, it suggests their belief in victory through sheer intellectual planning. Power executes a two-step ambush on Captain Kishibe: she throws multiple blood spears through the door when he arrives at her apartment, followed up with blood spears through the ceiling (drawn from bottles of blood on the floor above him). Her ambush, although well planned, quickly leaves her anemic and weakened.
5Bloodlust for a Cucumber
At the end of the second episode, “Arrival in Tokyo,” Denji goes on his first patrol with Power. She is restless to find something to kill when she suddenly smells blood in the wind. With Denji desperately chasing after her, she runs toward her prey.
On the street far below, the Sea Cucumber Devil is causing minor havoc. Power leaps from a high building nearby, conjuring a massive blood hammer in her hands and uses the momentum from her fall to land a massive blow on the Devil. Power kills the Sea Cucumber Devil immediately, erupting it in a mess of blood and organs all over the street. Covered in the blood of her kill, Power laughs devilishly at the success of her hunt.

4Granting Denji’s Wish
At the end of Episode 4, “Rescue,” Power moves into Aki and Deni’s apartment after manipulating Denji into saving her cat, Meowy. Denji chastises her for clogging the toilet when she pulls him into the bathroom and closes the door. Hidden away, she intends to grant Denji’s wish for saving her cat — letting him feel her breasts.
At the beginning of Episode 5, “Gun Devil,” Denji gets what he wants, discovering that Power had stuffed her shirt to give the impression of a larger chest. After Denji gives two more awkward fondles, Power declares that Denji must be in awe over how good it felt; Denji, however, cannot believe how little he got out of the experience. Since she kept her odd promise and felt confident in Denji’s joy (despite there being little joy on his end), this is among one of Power’s more ridiculous and comical moments.
3Meeting Meowy
There are notably few moments where Power is not being ridiculous or destructively violent. During Episode 3, “Meowy’s Whereabouts,” Power is emotionally vulnerable when she recalls how she met her cat, Meowy. While living in the wild, eating wild animals raw, Power encountered a hungry and weak cat. Telling herself that she’ll fatten up the cat before eating it, she ends up caring for the cat. Listening to the cat’s meow, Power considers how she hasn’t heard a creature make a noise that isn’t screaming in quite a while.
Although Power seems rather violent and uncaring, her flashback reveals her capacity to care for and protect others. In any case, Meowy is perhaps the reason why Power is able to integrate into human society.
2Katana Man Puts Power on Defense
During Episode 8, “Gunfire,” Aki, Himeno, Denji, and Power are all ambushed by the mysteriousYakuza affiliate, Katana Man. In the immediate moment of the ambush, Power quickly responds and brutally uppercuts Katana Man, forcing him to back off slightly. As Aki fights off Katana Man, Power feebly struggles to address Himeno’s bleeding, noting that she can’t quite control blood that isn’t her own. A dying Himeno tells Power to help Aki, but Power feels helpless, given that she couldn’t even see one of Katana Man’s attacks.
This scene details Power’s two natures in quick succession: her effective aggression at punching Katana Man and her protective inclination in how she treats Himeno.
1Zombie Annihilation
At the beginning of the last episode in Season 1, “Katana vs. Chainsaw,” Denji and Power ride an elevator together on the way to confront Katana Man. Denji looks over to find Power eating a zombie’s arm, which (despite his own previous penchant for eatinganything) he finds pretty disgusting. Power claims that meat is worth eating no matter what, whether it be from animals or humans.
Once the elevator door opens, the comic relief subsides. In front of them, there is a hallway filled with zombies. Denji advises them not to make any loud noises; Power, on the other hand, loudly announces herself and challenges the zombies to fight. As Power charges at them with blood weapons in hand, she doesn’t even notice that Denji stays in the elevator to confront Katana Man directly. Even without help or discretion, Power cuts through zombie after zombie on her own, exercising her new training from Kishibe.
