According to the anime’sofficial website, Episode 1 is titled"Dogs and Chainsaws,“and its 15-second-long preview features several spectacular moments. We see Denji, the series' protagonist, leading a difficult life and feeding off scraps. He’s working hard and doing all sorts of work to repay the massive debt of his parents. Fortunately, Denji isn’t alone, as he has Pochita (The Chainsaw Devil) by his side.

The preview also features Denji’s first transformation into Chainsaw Man after he gets brutally beaten up by a group. Apart from that, Makima also makes an appearance in the teaser. So, it’s safe to assume that Episode 1 of Chainsaw Man will be an action-packed episode with fast-paced storytelling (like the manga). Here you go; take a look at the official preview yourself:

Besides the preview, the creators also revealed the synopsis of the first episode. The rough translation of the synopsis says,“Denji is a young boy who lives as a devil hunter. to repay the debts left by his parents, he lived a poor life with Pochita, the “Chainsaw Devil,” while fulfilling the requests received from the yakuza gang. One day, when called by the Yakuza, Denji is betrayed and killed. In his fading consciousness, there was something talking to Denji.”

Last week, a few clips (possibly from the preview) of Episode 1 surfaced online, and since the quality of the leaks was absolute trash, the community didn’t get a good look at the animation. However, there were indeed some fans who were disappointed with the CGI in the anime after seeing the leaks. Well, now that the official preview is out, we can confidently say that the CGI looks incredible, and it’s everything that the community expected from a studio like MAPPA.

The Japanese animation studio has done some spectacular work in shows like Attack on Titan’s Final season and Jujutsu Kaisen, so they surely aren’t going to disappoint the anime fandom with Chainsaw Man.
