Almost every character ofChainsaw Manhas always been paired with someone from the start, but not in a good way. For instance,Makimacan be seen manipulating Denji since the start of the series and then asking her to kill theGun Devil; Power uses Denji to kill the Bat Devil and offers him something in return. Similarly, Himeno motivates the guys to kill the Devil and get a kiss in return. So, it always shows intimacy among different characters and raises the question of who loves whom in the series.

Himeno’s Personality Explored
Himeno can easily be defined as a beautiful young woman who uses unusual approaches to motivate other Devil Hunters to do their job perfectly. While she iscaring and gentletowards her fellow teammates, she’s one of the best Devil Hunters; she even trained other greatDevil HunterslikeAki Hayakawa. While Himeno can be brutal for Devils,she is empathic and tolerant toward others.
When the girlfriend of her late Devil Hunter partner slapped her in grief, Himeno showed patience, although she could have easily knocked her out. Throughout the series, she couldn’t stop remembering her other six teammates who died and continuously warned Aki not to die. She even visits their grave every once in a while.
Does Himeno Loves Denji?
Denji has always been a ladies' guy in the series, and Himeno remains one of the many female characters he shares closeness with. On his first encounter with Himeno, she promises to give him a kiss in exchange for killing the Devil. Then in episode 7 of the series, we saw the two actually kissing, although it wasn’t a pleasant one. Then we saw Denji at Himeno’s place, where we saw her feeling attracted to him and asked him if he wanted to get more intimate.Denji and Himeno might seem close in various instances, but their relationship always remains friendly.
Does Himeno Loves Aki?
When Aki was recruited as a Devil Hunter, Himeno had friendly feelings for her. But after working with him for some time, Himeno developed a feeling of love for him.She liked Aki because she considered him cool, kind, and normal.Himeno might have left the Devil Hunter association long ago, but she decided to stay for Aki’s sake. She always knew that Aki would never be able to kill the Gun Devil, so she repeatedly asked him to leave the job and do something that didn’t pose a threat to his life, but Aki was determined to take his revenge on the Gun Devil.
When Aki was about to use the power of Curse Devil, which would have cost him some of his life-span, she stopped him from doing so.Himeno also loses her cool when she watches Aki being stabbed, and she also starts crying, worrying about his life.
Aki wasn’t ignorant of Himeno’s feelings for him either, but he never talked about it. But, after Himeno’s death, he realized that he, too, had feelings for her.Himeno’s death put Aki in traumafor a long time, and he even visited her sister, who told him how much her sister loved him. But with time, Aki buries his feelings for Himeno and focuses on his mission to kill the Gun Devil.
Himeno Dies For Aki’s Sake
Although they never get together in the series,Himeno’s love for Aki never dies. In fact, she even gave up her life for Aki’s sake while they were fighting the Sword Devil. Himeno gets injured when Sword Devil and his allies attack, which leaves Aki alone to fight them. Concerned,Himeno makes a contract with the Ghost Devil to eliminate Sword Deviland his allies in exchange for her complete body.
As the Ghost Devil fights Sword Devil and his allies, Himeno starts losing her body. But unfortunately, Ghost Devil gets devoured when one of the Sword Devil’s allies summons the Snake Devil, who consumes the latter completely. With only her arm left, Himeno pulls Denji’s cord, turning him into Chainsaw Man. Himeno’s body erases completely, and only her clothes are left at the end.
