Can Grimer be Shiny in Pokemon Go? - Spotlight Hour April 2021

Pokemon GoSpotlight Hour is a weekly event in which one of the Pokemon in the game appears more in the wild, between 6 pm to 7 pm local time. It is a good way of catching some rare Pokemon, which otherwise are quite difficult to get your hands on. Last week, we hadMankey being a part of the Spotlight Hour.

This week, the Pokemon is Grimer, the Poison-type Pokemon which hails all the way back from Generation-1. While there is still some time for the Spotlight Hour to begin, many fans are wondering whether Grimer is shiny in the game or not.

The good news is, Grimer is indeed shiny inPokemon Go. The shiny version of Grimer has a green appearance, as compared to the purple color of the normal Grimer in the game. Shiny Grimer was added back in 2018, and it is one of the more rare Pokemon in the game.

Like always, only Pokemon which have a shiny variant do get their shiny spawns during the Spotlight hour. If by any change the Pokemon doesn’t have a shiny variant inPokemon Go, players won’t be able to get the shiny variant during the Spotlight Hour. With Grimer’s Shiny version already being a part of the game, fans have a good chance at catching the poison type classic.
