Activisionhas announced that a new collaboration withWWEwill be coming toCall of Dutyin Season 5, which also received a confirmed start date of Wednesday, July 24.
Earlier this month, Call of Duty data miners unearthed what many at the time believed tobe a potential Deadpool collaboration. The in-game files discovered included a plethora of new finishing moves that were extremely Deadpool-esque, but there was no actual mention that these new animations were linked to Deadpool in any way.

Treyarch wants to make it abundantly clear that “round-based zombies” are returning in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
After data miners announced that this would be a Deadpool collaboration in Season 5, the community just ran with it. Now, however, Call of Duty has announced that the Season 5 collaboration will be with WWE. Popular news account CharlieIntel alsotook to X(formerly Twitter) shortly after the announcement to say, “There were rumors from data miners claiming that there would be a Deadpool collab for Call of Duty, but that is not true.”

In a short teaser trailer yesterday afternoon, Call of Duty confirmed a new collaboration with WWE, whilst also announcing that Season 5 of Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile would begin on Wednesday, July 24.
There’s no word on exactly what will be included in the collaboration, but the short teaser does appear to tease three new operator skins. Toward the end of the trailer three shadows can be seen, likely teasing the introduction of three wrestlers from the world of WWE. There’s a chance that players will simply be able to purchase these operators from the in-game store, but Activision may also make the skins exclusive to the Season 5 Battle Pass.

Call of Duty’s last major collaboration came during the currently ongoing Season 4 and was with the popular Japanese ‘Gundam’ franchise. The collaboration included three new operator outfits and plenty of other cosmetic items, all of which could be purchased via the in-game store.
