With the series’ progression and new villains, power-ups and transformations are even more necessary. From Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan to Himawari’s jinchuriki transformation, the series is leveling up. However,Borutoisn’t too far behind either. This is clear in his transformation inTwo Blue Vortex. However, a fan-favorite jutsu might have made a comeback.

The protagonist’s return also marks his mastery of the iconic jutsu Rasengan. Apart from his mastery of the Flying Thunder God Technique, he has proved to be a formidable shinobi. His modification of this jutsu sets him apart from his father’s shadow. As opposed to Minato Namikaze’s form, this modified form is rather lethal.

Boruto Uzumaki’s mastery of Rasengan Uzuhiko may prove to be lethal.

Boruto featured the return of several iconic jutsus. Be it Chidori or summoning jutsu, the series has its way of lingering on to nostalgia. With the protagonist’s return after the time skip, Rasengan evolved as a lethal jutsu. This is clear when the hero uses it in hisfight against Code, where he can incapacitate the Kara member. Introducing this jutsu also marks the development of the hero’s character.

What’s even more interesting about this jutsu is that the protagonist developed and perfected this. It bears similarities with Sasuke Uchiha’s Chidori Current. This holds especially true with the free-flowing yet controlled nature of the jutsu. Like Chidori Current, Rasengan Uzuhiko can inducefatal blows on the opponent. To say the least, this modification is lethal and powerful.

Moreover, his mastery of this advanced technique of Rasengan makes him a formidable ninja in the series. His developing this jutsu only proves that he has successfullysurpassed his father. Furthermore, the jutsu’s use of planetary chakra as opposed to the user’s chakra also hints at a modified sage jutsu that might be in the works.

Rasengan Uzuhiko surpasses Rasengan’s precursor form from Naruto.

Unlike Rasengan’s previous forms, Rasengan Uzuhiko is a more efficient yetformidable jutsuin the series. WhileNaruto’sRasengan is a more controlled and structured jutsu,Boruto’sform is more free-flowing. Both forms differ in using chakras as well. While previous forms of Rasengan use Sage chakra and the user’s energy, Rasengan Uzuhiko uses planetary chakra. This changed form of Fourth Hokage’s jutsu is formidable in every sense.

Using planetary chakra stands in contrast to the user’s chakra. This holds especially true with energy depletion. While the previous form uses sage mode and tailed beast mode for this jutsu, it has its cons. The user displays several constraints, especially after using Rasenshuriken. However, Rasengan Uzuhiko fused with the Hyuuga clan’s taijutsu is effortless yet fatal. It surpasses the previous forms of the jutsu.

All in all, while the Rasengan Uzuhiko may not be as controlled and structured as the original jutsu, it’s harmful in more ways than one. The damage and intensity of this jutsu make it superior to its previous forms. Similar to its counterpart Chidori Current, the jutsu can inflict massive harm on the opponent.

All in all, this jutsu denotes the hero’s chakra prowess and intelligence. This power-up might pave the way for Ikemoto’s series to break away from its precursor’s shadow. While the series isn’t well-received because of the power scaling, this power-up could break the stereotypes surrounding the protagonist’s strength.
