Black Myth Wukong: Best Skills To Unlock Early

Spend Those Sparks Wisely

Then thirdly, I would suggest unlocking skills that give you more stamina, make your dodges more agile and effective, and skills that skills that increase your engage distance.

How To Beat The Tiger Vanguard (Part Two)

All this preparation is great, but you’ll be going nowhereuntil you beat the Tiger Vanguard from the past,as they are the gatekeeper blocking your way to Fuban’s arena.

This fight will bereminiscent of the fight at Crouching Tiger Temple, but thankfully, it is nowhere near as taxing. Here is what you need to know to succeed:

Black Myth Wukong Best Early Game Skills

All in all, it’s a fairly simple fight as long as you don’t get greedy and attack during their combos. Just focus on attacking on the counter and make the most of your spells; this should be relatively easy.

After this, move on and head up to the Yellow Wind Sage near the large drum to have them summon Fuban.

How To Defeat Fuban

After Fuban rises from the sands, you can slide down and take them on. When you approach them, they will immediately burrow underground, and will then reappear somewhere else in the vast area. This is usually on the right hand side, so run that way in anticipation and close the gap.

When they emerge, they will perform their flop attack, which is a deceptively slow move. So bide your time, wait for them to fall, and dodge at the last moment to avoid the impact. Then, immediately start going to town on their limbs.

Locking on is more hassle than it’s worth as Fuban is so large. So instead use a free camera and attempt to position yourself directly in front of one of their arms.

This begins a long period where you’ll slowly but surely chip away at their HP.They only really use a sweeping left and right arm attack that is slow and easy to avoid, so you can pretty much spam combos for a good while here.

They will occasionally use attacks that involve them using their horn to pierce you,but if you tuck in around his belly, then chances are that you will never even notice these, as they will be unable to put these attacks to good use.

This will continue until you get them down to about 60% health. At this point, they will burrow underneath the sand again, and this time, they won’t be coming up for quite a while.

They will start by tunneling toward you andpierce their horn through the sand to try and impale you, so be wary of this attack and get some distance.

They will also mix this up by raising their horn, only to drop it down like a hammer, and when they do this, you’ll want to time your dodge precisely. Then, they will finish this section withnot one, but two of their slowing falling leap attacks.

At this point, the Yellow Wind Sage will flush out Fuban by pounding his drum. And then he will decide to join you, allowing you to fight alongside this chapter’s main antagonist.

He will lure out the Beetle, and when it is stunned, you’re able to climb onto its backand retrieve the Vessel.

At this point, the fight becomes trivial, as aside from a few awkward rolling attacks, the beetle will be completely overwhelmed by your double team, and you can practically sit back and watch as the Yellow Wind Sage melts through Fuban’s health bar on his own.

Obviously, the beetle can still kill you if you’re careless, but most of the hard work is done, so finish them.

Rewards For Defeating Fuban

If you manage to help the Yellow Wind Sage and defeat Fuban, you will receive the following rewards for your efforts:

TheWind Tamer’s Vesselis a great rewardas it will grant you a decent amount of damage reduction when active. Not to mention, it makes you immune to wind attacks, which will make the Yellow Wind Sage fight much easier to navigate.

Plus, the Sky Piercing Horn is a great crafting item to have, as this will allow you tocraft the Adept Spine Shooting Fuban Stafflater down the line. So, all in all, it’s well worth making the effort to take down this big bug.
