Joey Drew Studios has announced thatBendyand the Dark Revival, a first-person survival horror game and the sequel to the award-winning Bendy and the Ink Machine, will be released forPCviaSteamon November 15th. APlayStationandXboxversion will also be released at a later date, according to the latest trailer.
In this spooky and cartoonish vintage horror adventure, players will get to explore an abandoned animation studio asAudrey, a new protagonist and an animator with mythical powers, and try to escape a grotesque and deformed version of the titular cartoon character Bendy, called the ink demon. There are many ink-ish characters who have been corrupted by the ink, and multiple environmental puzzles that will test the player’s agility and wits at every corner of Joey Drew Studios, the main setting of the game.

In a previous delay announcement, Joey Drew Studiosrevealedthat the sequel has 10 times the complexity and scope of the original game, and anothertrailerhas confirmed that Bendy and the Dark Revival will launch as a full game, unlike the previous entry which released episodically over the span of two years.
Despite featuring a new main character, the two games wereconfirmedto have a connected setting and lore, which was explored extensively inspinoffnovels and comics. But at the same time, it will act as an enjoyable experience for new players, and not only returning ones.
Adrienne Kress, the main writer of the Bendy spinoff novels such as Dreams Come to Life and The Lost Ones has revealed that she is currently working on anotherBendy novelfollowing the release date announcement, and that it is coming out next year in the fall of 2023.
There is also another game in the Bendy universe calledBoris and the Dark Survival, which is an interlude of sorts where you get to play as Bendy’s cartoonish friend Boris, solve puzzles and outrun the ink demon, and while there isn’t any substantial confirmation of how integral it is to the sequel, there are already manyeaster eggsfans have discovered that prove the three games are all connected, and fans are advised to play both Ink Machine and Dark Survival as they look forward to the upcoming game.
