Something similar could have happened the following year when two popular IPs’ sequels were supposed to be released on the same day. Similarly, another much-awaited sequel of a successful Disney animated movie is supposed to be released right after the Universal film.Zootopia 2starringKe Huy Quan,Jason Bateman, andGinnifer Goodwin, is a welcome surprise for many who were waiting for the follow-up of what is considered to be one of the studio’s greatest ventures.
However, what most fans don’t know is that both the films were supposed to be released on the same day, i.e., 26th November 2025. However, the Michelle Yeoh starrer quickly moved up its release date, perhaps to avoid tough competition with Disney (via Variety).

Although Grande and crew received a spectacular response with their successful adaptation, it seems like the makers do not want to risk their sequel.Zootopiawas one of the best movies by the animated studio in recent years so fans would storm the theatres for its sequel if only for nostalgia.

Zootopiawas a smash hit due to the masterclass world-building and well-developed characters. Judy Hopps as the protagonist was not only lovable but also extremely relatable due to her little quirks and strong sense of justice, whereas viewers fell in love with Nick Wilde the sly fox.
