How To Learn The Potion Of Greater Healing Recipe
Most recipes in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be unlocked by simply extracting certain substances, and this one is no exception. The substance you’ll need in this case is calledAshes of Balsamand it can be extracted by combining three Balsam plants. Balsam is pretty common all throughout the Forgotten Realms, but you’re most likely to find it close to hills and mountains.
Once you’ve unlocked the recipe, you only need tocombine the Ashes of Balsam with some Salt in the Alchemy menu to create aPotion of Greater Healing.Similar to other substances, Salts can be created by combining three of the same ingredients. The type doesn’t matter so just use whatever Salt you have on hand.

Where To Find Potions Of Greater Healing
If you don’t have enough ingredients to craft a sizeable batch of Potions of Greater Healing, you’re able to always buy a few from merchants to supplement your stock. The first merchant you’ll come across that sells them is none other thanAuntie Ethel. The old lady can initially be found in theDruid Groveand later in the Sunlit Wetlands. Just make sure to buy everything you need from her before starting theSave Mayrina quest.
Also in Act 1, you can buy Potions of Greater Healing fromRoah Moonglow in the Shattered Sanctumunder the Goblin Camp andDerryth Bonecloak in the Myconid Villagein theUnderdark. Roah can also be found in the Moonrise Tower in Act 2 and the sewers under Baldur’s Gate in Act 3. Provided, of course, you didn’t kill her in the Shattered Sanctum whileclearing out the Goblin Camp leaders.
