Baldur’s Gate 3 Second Marriage wand

Bitter Divorce/Second Marriage

You’ll find Mayrina standing behind the Teahouse and you can interact with her to learn that she was there voluntarily after the Hag promised to resurrect her dead husband, Connor. You can have a couple of options here. You can either leave her to mourn and be on your way, use the wand on her husband, or break the wand in two. That last option will prevent you from acquiring Second Marriage, somake sure to use the wand instead.

As it turns out, using Bitter Divorce on Connor does indeed resurrect him, but it also turns him into a zombie. Mayrina won’t be too pleased with this outcome, but she can take the wand off your hands in the hope of finding a way to make Connor human again. Alternatively, you cankeep the wand for yourself and use it to bind Connor to your will. Mayrina will be shocked if you do this but, on the bright side, you’ll now have your very own undead minion.

Keeping the wand transforms Bitter Divorce into Second Marriage. The wand doesn’t have any charges and doesn’t require a corpse in order to summon Connor. However, the caveat is that it consumes two Action points, making it difficult to use in combat unless you have aPotion of Speedon hand. If you don’t, it’s worth noting thatyou can also summon Connor outside of combat. The zombie only lasts for one minute, but it sticks around for up to 10 turns if you initiate combat immediately after.
