InAtomfall, there is a wealth of loot that can help you survive in this hostile and punishing re-imagining of the Lake District. However, there are also some items in the game that are merely for show, offering players the opportunity to go on the hunt for collectibles.

Atomfall Review

Rebellion presents a reimagined version of Britain’s only nuclear disaster. A bold move that pays off.

There are Gnomes to be found and smashed in Wyndham Village, and there are some Lunchboxes buried underground throughout the world you will need to dig up with your Metal Detector. However, we want to focus on the various comic books dotted around the place.

You’ll need all ten of these comics to unlock the Avid Collector achievement, and some of them are tricky to find. So, here is a rundown of all their locations.

Comic #1 - L8 Bunker (Starting Area)

The first comic is pretty easy to find if you begin your adventure with a mindset to scavenge for every little thing you can. As it’s located just beyond the starting area.

After you exit the area where you help the Scientist with a bandage (or don’t), you’ll come to an overgrown area with an outlaw. Deal with them, and then head into the room on the right.

Here, you will find your first comic book, Jet Ace Logan: Evil in Orbit.

Comic #2 - Waterwheels

Your second comic is not too far beyond the starting bunker. You’ll want to walk down the hill past Nat, and you’ll eventually reach the Waterwheels.

From there, you’ll want to enter the building located at the coordinates (27.9E 74.5N).

Then inside, resting on a board on a right-angle ruler, you’ll find your next comic, John Steel: Secret Agent.

Comic #3 - Behind The Waterfall

This one is a little trickier to find, as it doesn’t appear at a marked location on the map, and it’s pretty well hidden. That is, unless you know about the video game convention where the best goodies are hidden behind waterfalls.

This waterfall is located near the Convoy Wreckage at (22.9E, 78.3N), and behind the falling stream of water, you’ll find a little camp, and on the wooden pallets, you’ll find the comic, Lion Annual 1962.

PlayStation-1

Your next two comics will be found in Wyndham Village, and the first can be located at the pub in the center of town just past the Village Hall.

Head inside and go upstairs to the loos. Then head into the stalls, and you’ll find on the floor your next comic in the collection, Captain Condor: Mystery on the Moon - Lion Issue 248

Xbox-1

Comic #5 - On A Bench

After your trip to the pub, it’s best you settle that pint in your belly with a nice stroll around the village, and if you head to the area near X, you’ll probably spot a comic that’s up for grabs.

The exact co-ordinates where you will find Jet Ace Logan: 10 Days To Doom are (35.6E, 79.2N)

Comic #6 - Village Outskirts

After you’ve finished exploring in the village, head out to the exit nearest to the Mereview Hotel and head out toward Casterfell Woods.

The immediate area will see you travelling through the Village outskirts, and to you’re left there will be a number of dilapidated buildings.

Explore these, and you will come across a room with two green beds marked with red X’s. Then, located just beside these beds, you will find the comic, Captain Condor: Mystery on the Moon - Lion Issue 260, sitting in a little crate.

Comic #7 - Daltow Manor

Just up the hill to the left of the buildings on the Village Outskirts, you will come across a huge mansion with grounds that are surprisingly well-kept, all things considered.

This area is littered with traps, so watch out for tripwires, make your way to the entrance of the manor, and head inside.

Inside you’ll find Prudence Rook blabbering on, but ignore her and head to the second floor, where you will find the comic, Rick Random in Sabotage From Space, on a table nearby.

Comic #8- Nora’s Barn

Your next stop on this comic book world tour is out to Skethermoor, an area that is hostile and under Protocol control, so be wary of soldiers and make sure you’re well-equipped for the trip.

If you want free passage into Skethermoor to make exploring easier, try to do some early-game tasks for Captain Sims to get on his good side.

You can access Skethermoor in multiple ways, such as the door via Wyndham Village, or the Sewer Tunnels. But, regardless of how you get there, you’ll want to head to Nora’s Barn found at ()

Once there, you’ll need to watch out for traps, as this place is a minefield. But, if you watch your step, you’ll be able to make it inside in one piece.

Speak to Nora to put her at ease, and then head downstairs to a nearby desk where you will find John Steel: One False Step.

Comic #9- The Interchange

These last two are easily the hardest to locate, and the ones you likely came to this guide to find. Well, we have you covered.

First, you’ll need to have access to the Interchange, and, more specifically, the Alpha section, accessed via Skethermoor Prison. So, it’s best to leave this one until late-game before you go in search of it.

It’s also helpful to complete Mother Jago’s initial quest so you have access to the Strange Tonic recipe.

If you’re all set, head to the Alpha sector, and head down one floor to the offices below. Then, on a green chair, you’ll find the comic, Jet Ace Logan: Planet of Fear.

Comic #10 - Windscale

Then, lastly, you’ll need to access Oberon and head to the Windscale Plant to locate this final comic, so leave this one for last, as you can collect it on your way to the finish line.

Sadly, there is no way to present this on the map, as your exact position does not register when at Oberon. But, if you have entered the Oberon Dig Site, you’ve gone past the comic’s location.

This comic is located to the right of the main crater area, in the blue infected area that contains Thralls and Turrets. You’ll need to navigate this section of the plant, then squeeze through a gap in the wall right at the back of this area.

Once you do, turn right, and you’ll find the final comic, Rick Random and The Planet of Terror, sitting amongst the rubble next to a B.A.R.D. container.

If you’ve collected all ten comics by this point, this should pop the Avid Collector trophy. Congrats!
