The game may only have been out for just over 24 hours on early access, butSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas not gotten off to the best of starts. There are perhaps no surprises as to how poorly the game has been received given the negative press in the run-up to launch, but the number of players searching for a refund may just take some by surprise.
The live-service game has been a bone of contention for many fans, and the various gameplay leaks of late have only served to anger fans further. However, to rub salt into the wounds, fans who wanted early access ahead of the launch on February 2 had to buy the deluxe edition, which cost a ridiculous $100.
What Is the Latest With Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?
Controversy appears to have followedSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguesince it was announced, and in the run-up to its launch, it has not appeased fans’ concerns about the game. With the launch of early access, a huge bug saw the game being taken down and it being offline for some time, but despite being fixed now, we’re not sure how many fans will rush back.
As reported byWindows Central,the game has seen an increase of nearly 800% of players searching for how to get a refund, which is no doubt about the maintenance problems that players encountered on early access. The bug in question saw the game garner 100% completion before they had even started the game, with no apparent way around this.
The Comments on Social Media for the Suicide Squad Game Have Been Much as Expected
Many fans questioned Rocksteady’s decision to make this game live-service, and we can only hope that it sees the error of its ways and sticks to what it does best. The reception of early access has been poor, to say the least, and we can only imagine what fans will say of the title when it fully launches on February 2.
The comments from many fans across social media have been much as expected, with many commenting that they want an offline mode. Others highlighted the lack of review codes as another aspect that has come back to bite them on the derrière.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, there were various other comments from players, some of which were too risqué to post here but certainly conveyed the disappointment in the game, which appears to be a running theme.
What’s clear is thatSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguemay have already won the title of worst game of 2024, and we’re still only in January. Despite Rocksteady jumping on the live-service bandwagon, it may soon come to realize that the popularity of these games is in steady decline. No doubt, players will be hoping that the next offering from the developer will be back to the game style it has previously excelled in.
While it may not be a surprise for many in the community to see how poorly Rocksteady’s latest offering has performed since launch, what may raise a laugh from many is the sheer scale of players who have taken to searching for a refund. Given that the game is a spin-off of theBatman: Arkhamgames, there was always hope that it would live up to its predecessors; however, it looks more like it is tarnishing that legacy.
