There’s no doubt that the video game industry is booming, and Hollywood is continuing to bring new takes on classic games to life in the forms of blockbuster movies and hit TV Shows. One popular game that still hasn’t been adapted includesAlan Wake, a psychological horror title that unravels the story of a thriller novelist investigating the mysterious disappearance of his wife.

Recently, Annapurna Pictures announced that it has partnered up with Remedy Entertainment to bring the world ofAlan Waketo life for a film and TV project. Things are still up in the air about how this project would shape up, but gamers are intrigued by the question of who should play the titular character in the adaptation. While Keanu Reeves looks like an obvious choice, there’s a Marvel star who could absolutely nail the role.

Alan WakeTV Adaptation Desperately Needs Wes Bentley

If there’s one actor who was born to portrayAlan Wake, it’s Wes Bentley. Over the last 20 years or so, he has proven to be an indomitable presence on both small and big screens. The Ghost Rider actor disappeared from the spotlight for much of the 2000s but has made a comeback as a versatile actor in the last couple of years.

After his return, Bentley established a reliable presence in various projects. From playing astronauts to ghosts and most recently acclaimed Yellowstone, he has proven that he can portray complex and troubled characters, which is whatAlan Wake‘s TV adaptation needs if it wants toachieve the same success as theFalloutseries.

Bentley’s years of experience with suspenseful narratives make him a natural fit to capture the tension that Remedy Entertainment has managed to craft over the decades.

What’s even better is that, unlike Keanu Reeves, Bentley has age on his side. If the show proves to be a success, they can plan out multiple seasons without the need to recast the character down the line.

Recasting for any series can prove to be a nightmare. Actor Henry Cavill’s performance as the titular Witcher was heavily praised, but now the series faces an uphill battle with Liam Hemsworth taking on the role.
