However, for players who didn’t enjoy the game, a modder has released a mod that turnsLike a Dragoninto a real-time fighting game.

A Real-Time Fighting Mod Turns Yakuza: Like a Dragon Into an Action Brawler

Like a Dragonintroduced a new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, and featured a great dramatic story with sub-quests, mini-games, and exciting gameplay that felt new but also brought something fresh to the game. The game’s pivot to turn-based gameplay shocked and put off many, but there is good news: a new mod is available for the game that turns it into a classicYakuzagame.

The mod called Like a Brawler Beta was released by modder Jhrino onNexus Modsand is a real-time fighting mod that turns the game into a real-time combat action game. The mod allows the protagonist of the game, Ichiban Kasuga, to fight in real-time, and Kasuga is also able to perform new heat actions as well as use several fighting styles to take on his enemies. Once the mod is installed and runs, the game plays similarly to classicYakuzatitles, and it looks pretty good.

Players can use heat actions and multiple fighting styles with the mod.

Players looking to play the game again before they dive intoInfinite Wealthnext month can try the game with the mod to get into the groove. Players looking to install the mod need to have Shin Ryu Mod Manager and remember that the mod only supports English and Japanese. The mod is still in the beta phase, and players might encounter any bugs and glitches and have to troubleshoot it.

Infinite Wealthis all set to release next month on January 26 and will also feature a turn-based combat system. It is a single-player game and will feature dual protagonists, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu, and both characters will have their own story arcs. The story of the game sees Kasuga going to Honolulu, Hawaii, to find his birth mother, whom he did not know was alive, and Kiryu is on vacation after the events ofLike a Dragon Gaiden.

Infinite Wealth will be launched on January 26, 2024.

Yakuza 6was the last main game for Kazuma, but he was back inGaidenand will now be seen inInfinite Wealth. However, the story has revealed that he has cancer, so it might be his last game as a playable character. There are also several characters coming to the game that have been seen before in Kazuma’s life. The two protagonists will be teaming up to take on enemies in turn-based combat with full freedom of movement, placing them strategically to beat opponents.

Infinite Wealthis going to have a much different title than other previous games in the series for several reasons. The series is going from Japan to the United States for the first time and will feature the biggest map in its history, triple the map ofLike a Dragon. There are several districts in the game, such as Aloha Beach, the Anaconda Shopping Center, Chinatown, District 5, and more.
