Round8 surprisedLies of Pplayers a few days ago by shadow dropping the game’s first major DLC, Overture, on the same day it was announced at Summer Game Fest.

Choi thanked the players for their feedback and suggestions since the DLC launched. The developers are reviewing the information and confirm they are looking to implement some of the suggestions from players.
The primary focus they’re currently examining is combat experience. Choi mentioned there are identified areas that “did not turn out quite as we intended.”
The game director confirmed that they are reviewing various adjustments, including difficulty reduction. Given how combat is the most fundamental experience in the game, Choi mentions that any modifications or changes require thorough testing. As such, they can’t confirm a specific schedule for the patch just yet.
Choi mentions that the dev team is taking their time and doing their best to deliver a better experience as soon as they can.
It’s not just Lies of P’s Overture DLC that was released a little bit too hard for players. EvenElden Ring Nightreignwas a little bit too unforgiving for solo players, which is something FromSoftwareaddressed in a title update.
