Itappears thatSupermassive Games, the studio behindUntil DawnandThe Dark Pictures Anthologygames, was once developinga next-gen Blade Runner game, which is now reportedlycanceled.
Based on documents sent toInsider Gaming, this game was supposed to be titledBlade Runner: Time to Live, set in2065, offering10–12 hours of single-player experience.

Directive 8020, Supermassive Games' Latest Title Is Coming This October
Supermassive Games' next entry in the Dark Pictures Anthology was just revealed during today’s State of Play Showcase. Coming this October 2nd, 2025.
The gameplay was intended to feature four distinct main components: combat, stealth, exploration and investigation, and dramatic character interaction, with skills and ability upgrades.

Based on the report, the pre-production process began in September 2024 and was scheduled to conclude in March 2025, with the finalization of prototyping expected by September 2025.
There Is A Time To Live, And A Time To Die!
The interesting point is that this was supposed to be a next-gen title, as it was scheduled to release inSeptember 2027on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and alsoPlayStation 6 and the next generation of Xbox consoles.
Around $45 million was considered as the budget for the development of Blade Runner: Time to Live, which was naturally subject to change during the process of development.

This is likely the first Gen 10 video game to have been canceled. And it seemsthe owner of the Blade Runner rights, Alcon Entertainment, is to blame for this cancellation. In the leaked documents, Blade Runner: Time to Live is described as:
“Journey from the teeming undercity of New Zurich 2065 to the eerie remnants of the forgotten world beyond. Under orders to retire Rev, the mysterious and ruthless leader of an underground replicant network, you are betrayed and left for dead in a brutally hostile environment.”

According to this report, the next-gen Blade Runner: Time to Live was canceled late last year.
