The mutant has been involved in several comic arcs and is an anti-hero who has fought theX-Men, New Mutants,and theX-Forcemultiple times. He was also a part of Emma Frost’s Hellfire Club and played an integral role in transporting her across the planet.
Furthermore,Vanishereventually underwent a transformation in Krakoa, and later became a part of S.W.O.R.D.’s teleportation team, aiding fellow mutants in a variety of critical missions. Of course, Emma Frost herself has already been introduced (and then killed off) in the first season ofX-Men ‘97.
In the comics,Vanisheris also linked to Genosha, and is known to have travelled from Southern California to the mutant nation in a single teleportation. Pitt’s involvement inDeadpool 2in no way suggested a recurring role, and the actor himself agreed to it due to a heartwarming reason. The 60-year-old explained in an interview during a press tour that it was his history withDavid Leitch that made him agree.

Pretty much, easiest thing I’ve ever done. Dave’s an old friend of mine and he used to be… he was my stunt double starting with Fight Club and all the way up till about 2004. And then he went off and became a really good director, which is rare. Rare.
Hence, Leitch’s rise from a stuntman to a filmmaker ended up impressing his friendBrad Pitt, who had no qualms about the 3-second cameo. It was, after all, the easiest thing for Pitt to do, in his own words.
