These trophy lists made for the most difficult Platinum trophies to obtain on PlayStation in 2024.
As a player with more than a hundred platinum trophies on my PSN, I have to say that there is nothing more frustrating than not being able to achieve 100% in a game due to problems that are not actually mine, such as encountering glitches or closed servers that completely block some trophies.
Situations like this lead to sad views of incomplete journeys on our profile, which may bother some players. So we have gathered some titles in which the platinum trophy is currently impossible to unlock – to simply avoid any frustration if you are thinking about playing them.
10Red Ronin

Imagine that someone mixedHotline Miamiwith turn-based combat. You’d getRed Ronin, a completely addictive tactical game, where you play as a ronin seeking revenge.
The idea is to use the D-pad to slice enemies that are on the same line as you in the scenario, but every enemy changes their position when you move.
It is intriguing and incredibly fun, so I was determined to unlock every trophy, even the hardest ones, where you need to finish it without dying and in under one hour.

The best games in the genre are the ones that have interactive turn-based systems that require player agency.
I did all of that, but… there is a glitched trophy – called “Red Ronin” – that requires you to simply finish the story, which I did many times. Sadly, I discovered that it also happened to other players, and it really blocks you out from the platinum.

When it was announced thatOverwatch 2was going to replace the first Overwatch (may it rest in peace), I imagined that the original list of trophies was going to be retired – and, indeed, it was.
So, if you did not collect all the trophies before the full merger, the ones you missed will never be unlocked.
And now you need to focus on getting the achievements on the new list. This bugs me a lot because, every time I log into my profile, there is an extra Overwatch list locked at 77%, eternally judging me for not having earned all of its trophies in the past.

You may not remember, butBattlebornwas afree-to-play gamethat mixed hero shooter and MOBA elements – and it was 2K’s attempt to rival Overwatch.
As you may have guessed already, the idea did not work so very well, and although it was really fun to play with friends, its servers were shut down and the game was removed from digital storefronts on January 25th, 2021.
Alongside that, we all had to kiss Battleborn’s platinum trophy goodbye. If you were one of the players who managed to earn it before the tragic end, just know that you have a relic in your profile.
Born Locked
I had to playConcordfor a specific job, but it never crossed my mind – or anyone else’s, for that matter – that the game would be shut down just two weeks after its release. But that is exactly what happened, which locked a sad 7% for its trophy list on my profile.
This was Sony’s attempt to perhaps create a new Overwatch: a5v5 hero shooterwith multiple playable characters and a vibrant look. However, it was not well-received, and its servers were locked and sealed on August 03, 2025, due to low player counts and poor sales.
Still, I looked it up, and some people managed to grab their platinum trophy before the end, being an ultra-rare achievement at 0.2%.

Friday the 13th: The Gameis another case of servers that were shut down, but this one still hurts my soul since I registered more than 200 hours on this baby.
But no, I did not get all the trophies, because many of them required a long time of play and even made allusions to numbers such as “13” and “666" – such as murdering 1313 people as Jason, or finishing a thousand matches as a counselor.
I am proud to say, though, that I have most of them. I was just not as quick as the developer’s decision to shut down its servers on August 05, 2025 when my dream of getting the plat was officially over.
A Cult Glitch
I am a big fan of Lovecraftian experiences, so when I read aboutConariumon thismarvelous list of cosmic horror games, I simply needed to try it out.
And I loved every minute of it… except when I finished the story and some ending trophies did not pop out on my screen.
I soon discovered that some trophies had been glitched since the release, and many players even tried to reach the developer to get a patch that may fix the problems, but they were out of luck.
I imagine now that this platinum trophy will only become unlockable when we manage to summon Cthulhu himself one of these days.

This is a great reboot of the 2008 parkour game, with actually fun trophies, and everything was ruined by two online trophies – called “User Generated Finisher” and “You can’t keep me down”.

Uncharted 2has some of the most fun trophies I have ever earned on PlayStation 3. Having to use every weapon, finishing the story on Crushing difficulty, and finding all the collectibles were a blast!
Sadly, I can no longer recommend its platinum to anyone because it has become unobtainable since Naughty Dog studio shut down the game’s servers on June 12, 2025, locking players out of themultiplayer modes.
What is even sadder about this situation is that there are only two online trophies that are extremely easy, requiring the completion of a single match in each mode.
It’s still attainable in the Nathan Drake Collection, but the standalone trophy list is lost to time.

In early January 2024, we received the sad news that some technical issues forcedLittleBigPlanet 3’s servers to go offline indefinitely, and everyone imagined that it would go back online anytime soon… right?
Well, there are players that are still waiting patiently (okay, maybe not THAT patiently) for these weird issues to be fixed – but I have got to be honest with you, dear reader – I do not think that we should remain optimistic.
And guess what? Obviously, the game has some online-only trophies, making its platinum impossible to unlock. Sorry, boys, we lost a real one in this situation.
The Platinum Became a Desert Legend
I genuinely think that theMad Maxgame is incredibly underrated, offering an amazing open world packed with survival elements and a lot of action. So, if you have never played, give it a chance!
But go without any hope of getting all the trophies, because one of them is unobtainable – yes, “Up to the Task”, I am looking at you –, since it requires online features, and the game’s servers were shut down on August 17, 2025.
I mean, locking you out of a platinum due to a single online trophy is simply infuriating. I need to punch something.
