Being one of the most iconic anime series in the world, Naruto has led its fans to a wide range of gameplay experiences. With such a wide variety of gaming titles, each catering to the fans' desires and tastes, it’s nearly impossible to find the perfect one. Still, the franchise has made sure to listen to its fans and provide some of the most memorable titles to date.
10Rise Of A Ninja
The first Naruto title that gave its fans an open world on consoles, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja quickly became a success as it provided an immersive in-depth experience into the Naruto universe. Released in 2007 on Xbox 360 and then later on PS3, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja was a blend of many elements ranging from a true-to-heart storyline, unique sidequests, and a 3D combat system embedded with strategy and timing instead of spamming buttons.
Players also had to keep an eye on the chakra meter to make sure they can use the various ninjutsu during battles. The only thing holding it back was the limited character selection along with a rather short gameplay overall.

9Ultimate Ninja Storm
The Storm series is regarded as the breaking point that pushed the Naruto universe to the next level and the series took its first step with Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm. Laying the foundation of many more successful titles to come, the 2008 release took full advantage of the Xbox 360 and PS3 generation of consoles.
Fast-paced battles, stunning visuals, an engaging storyline, and multiple modes for players to choose from made the title a global success. The game also featured 25 playable characters that allowed the fans to either become a hero or a villain along with around 50 supporting characters which added more immersion to the combat system.

8Ultimate Ninja Storm 2
Building upon its predecessor’s success, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 took all the successful elements of its previous entry and ticked off all the right boxes. Featuring a roster of over 40 characters, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 not only refined the combat mode but also gave fans the newly introduced awakening modes, team attacks, and interactive cutscenes that elevated the already intense battle mechanics.

For those that prefer adventure over combat, the title comes with an open-world dynamic featured in the Hidden Leaf Village that gave the fans a true Naruto experience.
7Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations
A title that entailed the tale of time itself, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations takes players through a journey that crosses generations. With over 70 playable characters, the game highlights the younger generation and their journey as they evolve into their adult versions seen in Naruto Shippuden.
The storyline works well with the Chronicle Mode, which features a limited backstory of some characters such as Minato, Kushina, Kakashi, and much more. The addition of info cards was also a nice touch to ensure the title had something different that appealed to the general audience.
6Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution
The Storm series was having the time of its life and the release of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution was a step in the right direction; many fans just didn’t think the step was big enough. The previous Naruto titles focused more on the journey of our heroes, but with Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution, fans could finally relive the same experience from the Akatsuki’s perspective.
While the Creation of Akatsuki mode, along with the Ninja World Tournament, blended well with a whopping roster of 118insanely powerful characters— including unique entries such as Mecha Naruto and the Sound Four — the game itself lacked a touch of innovation, which divided the fans whether the title released in 2014 was necessary or not.
5The Broken Bond
Naruto: The Broken Bond, the sequel to Naruto: Rise of a Ninja and released in 2008, proves just how loyal Naruto fans are to its older titles. One of the reasons why the fans keep coming back to this title is the nostalgia as well as the refinement that went into this sequel.
Though it had improved visuals, better combat mechanics, unique yet limited customizations, and a true Naruto experience, the fact that it was only released for the Xbox 360 held it back quite a lot, which makes it a less attractive title compared to some of the other entries.
4Ultimate Ninja Impact
A title that encompassed the Naruto storyline with gameplay that was ahead of its time, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Impact pushed the boundaries of being a PSP exclusive. Released more than a decade ago in 2011, the game still holds itself quite well in the modern day though there’s nothing that blows expectations out of the park.

With a small yet decent roster of 20 playable characters, the game blends several elements into its gameplay, such as fast-paced and acrobatic combat, an interactive environment, unique game modes, and a local multiplayer mode. The title had a lot of things going for it at the time and is still a fun game for true Naruto fans.
3Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst
Following a suite similar to its predecessor, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst brought its signature gameplay with an immersive storyline and newly added gameplay mechanics. Featuring the Hidden Leaf Village as an open-world hub, the title differentiates itself from the previous releases by covering the events of the Fourth Great Ninja War, which brings along some of themost powerful villainsin the series — including the Ten-Tails as well as Madara Uchiha himself.
Additional features, such as Ultimate Decision moments that can change the course of the story, Quick Time Events that involve timed button input, and a roster of over 80 unique playable characters (such as the reanimated Kage and the various Jinchuriki) added a deep level of immersion to the game.
2Ultimate Ninja 3
The Ultimate Ninja series has been a fan favorite since the early days, and many fans believe that the series peaked at Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 — even after the release of the fourth and fifth sequels to the title.
While the game features 2D-based gameplay, there’s a special mode called the Ultimate Contest that integrates a 3D gaming experience, allowing players to roam around in the village to find crystals to win the Tournament. While the game had its flaws, it’s still considered to be a nostalgic title that is still received well by fans today.
1Ultimate Ninja Storm 4
For the players that want the most visually stunning Naruto experience with gameplay mechanics that hit the ball out of the park in every single category,Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4exceeds expectations and still keeps on delivering. Ranging from the in-depth storyline to the detailed combat experience, the title aces in every way possible with over 100 playable characters andthe strongest Jutsusshown in the series.
Although the title retains its true Storm series essence, it’s still the go-to Naruto game for many fans today, partially because of its thrilling DLCs such as Road to Boruto, Extra Scenario Packs, and much more. The game itself launched in 2016 and is still holding a strong position in the list of the best Naruto games.
