Fans loved their chemistry on screen and always wished the best for them. Unfortunately, Gege Akutami had different plans as they made vile sorcerer Kenjaku take over Geto’s body after his demise.
When viewers thought that Geto would never be back, Gege, as usual, shocked their fans once again when Geto subconsciously moved his arm and tried to choke his own body in Shibuya. However, this was never explored further, and what could have been the perfect beginning for the comeback of Geto was left behind.

Geto Suguru managed to enchant the audience with his personality, and his companionship with Gojo Satoru captivated the viewers. Unfortunately, after Toji killed Riko, Geto and Gojo changed a lot.
Geto became a convict who wanted to eradicate jujutsu sorcerers, while Gojo was all alone since his only best friend was not by his side anymore, guiding him through thick and thin. Geto Suguru was the moral compass of Gojo Satoru. Since Gojo possessed an unconcerned personality, Geto was the one who made decisions and was the tactical one.
After getting killed by Yuta in Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Kenjaku took over Geto’s body, turned the entire series around, and let Sukuna destroy Shibuya. During the confrontation between Kenjaku and Gojo, we saw a glimpse of Geto’s body moving on its own.
When Gojo uttered the phrase, “How long would you let someone control you, Suguru?”, Geto’s consciousness took over the body and started to choke Kenjaku. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before Kenjaku took control again.

The fate of the entire Jujutsu world would have been significantly different if Geto hadn’t stopped Gojo from killing the higher-ups during the hidden inventory arc. Ever since Geto parted ways with Gojo, they have never been the same.
Geto took the route of a criminal, while Gojo became a teacher, and eventually, both of them crossed paths once again, only for Geto to pass away. Gojo and Geto’s bond will never be forgotten and will always be hailed as the best friendship inJujutsu Kaisen.
